Who designed this piece of rubbish?

Nope, no way. They've definitely been out longer than that.

I think most of you are getting mixed up with the normal plastic bottles and these new great big fat ones that are uncontrollable unless you remove the widget.
By my reckoning the fat bottles came out around August because I took one into work and splattered it all over my breakfast.
I then had around 10 workmates trying to control the flow and everybody failed.

Its actually quite easy. Before squeezing, simply poke a fork or similar into the hole, this then opens its up, ready for a slow steady squeeze. Thus preventing the huge blob which initially comes out.

What do you mean by 'normal plastic bottles'? Can you post a pic?

i always screw the top off these and let the sauce just fall out, if i try to squeeze it the stuff goes all over everything else and not on the plate. Id like to know whats wrong with the normal bottles and who ever thought of this :(

This is the one thats been out for many years with a thin neck.
The new ones have a neck thats nearly the same size as the bottom of the bottle.

I see. Well I haven't used one of those ones for ages. I have been using the one you mentioned in the original post for AT LEAST a year.

Well post a video of your skills with the widget in for all of us who can't do it.

EDIT -
Seems I owe an apology to those who said they've used these bottles for years because they have been out since 2004.

1 - I never do shopping
2 - My wife always buys Morrisons own brand
3 - She bought the Heinz 57 bottle about 4 months ago because they'd run out of Morrisons own brand.
4 - She went back to Morrisons own brand because the kids were complaining about the fat bottles.
5 - My main argument still stands - I don't believe anybody can control the flow coming out of these bottles on the initial squeeze (unless widgetless).
