Who else is enjoying the euros MORE without england?

What have the US won?
World Series? Oh wait, no, that's America Only!

Look at the size of England. Now look at the size of everywhere else.
We do bloody well.

Baseball's World Series was named after a newspaper.

As for the footie, I have to admit that the atmosphere here is preferable, especially as the lows when England lose (which is innevitable) seem to affect the entire country and is a bit of a pain. I'm Irish though, so chose Spain as my team for the Euros. I actually cheered when Villa scored last night lol.

Nothing, but then we dont go round every couple of years pretending we are going to beat everyone. Then go blaming everything and anything when we lose.

No you lot just go round sticking your nose into other peoples business instead ;)

I've caught a fair few games and enjoyed them but it's nothing compared to when you are actually supporting a team. I haven't watched an England friendly in years but nothing beats a competitive match. I much prefer it when we are in the tournament, just doesnt compare otherwise.

Oh, really?
I thought that was the whole attitude of America? Maybe not in football (as that would be ridiculous), but in everything else. (I'm not saying that confidence is a bad thing either).

I also stated quite boldly that England would NOT qualify for Euro2008 and that I would support my second nationality whilst he was in charge, Scotland.

I'm enjoying this without England, although I wish we were in it. Then again, I haven't really given a damn about England since Steve McClaren took over.

Loving it, although I haven't been supporting England since World Cup 2002. The England team of now and the past few years just has way too many arrogant and incredibly unlikable players. It's fun to watch them flop miserably because it's quite clear the majority think they're the business.

Im with you, the last time i supported England in any football competition was back in '96 when we should have won the Euro. Since then coupled with the utter stupidity of the media...i havent supported them since.

But honestly im enjoying Euro2008 quite a bit...its so much better without England in there in my opinion. Holland, Spain and Portugal have been the stand out teams for me...i just wish England could play the football they play.

we bring something that no other country can offer

What is that England bring that no other country brings exactly??...a lot of hot air and hype??...yep that would be right. England win a game or 2 and thats it...the whole flippin country seems to think that we can win any competition that we are in:p...the England football team is a joke, they cant even play attractive football to save their lives. Although saying that i really wish England would play some exciting entertaining football...football that Spain, Portugal and Holland play...hell even the German football team plays much more exciting football than us...is it any wonder that they keep kicking our backsides into touch everytime we play them??.

The only time i can see myself supporting England is when they start playing some exciting attacking football...most of the games ive seen them play...have been pretty damn boring unless its against sides that field their sunday league best:D.

When was the last time Germany kicked us into touch? The same for the above mentioned?

To those who are enjoying it more clearly don’t support England, how can you enjoy it more when your home nation isn’t playing

Where? I cant see it.

Read the thread again fella. :)

I support Arsenal much much more than I do England; yes I would hate the Champion's League if we weren't in it. No I don't hate it that the English team isn't playing.

I am actually enjoying this tournament a lot for reasons I've put in this thread (or in others at least). I like patient build up, and bursts of manic football. It's good fun - and the very neutral (mostly) commentary from the British staff is refreshing.

For the few games I've managed to catch and the general attitude on television it's been fantastic. A tournament of mostly good football, and no whining about the England team.
