Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I want to know how much mine weighs. I have 2 bucket seats and a dashboard left in mine, think the phase 1 was just over 1000kg to begin with so maybe 950kg?

I'm surprise the Clio weights that much. The Yaris SR weights 980kg all in without people. That's all seats, climate control & trimmings.

Clio does have quite a wee bit of toys, auto wipers, lights, xeons, leather seats, climate control. Get rid of this and your losing 100kg~, set of buckets and your down to 950~ then you have the carpet etc.

I'm sure someone on CS is down to 800~kgs, must be very quick at that weight.

I think the Phase 1's were 1035kg, the Phase 2 172's were 1110kg and the 182's were 1090kg through the lack of a spare wheel. Don't know about the Cup 172 and 182 though. I assume they would be slightly lighter.

I've never found the car slow enough to warrant needing to reduce comfort/luxury(lol) in order to make it a bit quicker. Honestly, I think I'd feel a bit of a dick having a stripped out car, unless I was regularly taking it on track.

But I have some of those toys, not leathers or auto wipers (can't imagine how much some sensors will weight), or those Zeons (its a light bulb...it can't weigh in kilos!), I have climate control, normal seats and still comes in at 980kg?

I am thinking that engine must weight quite a bit more, 2.0 v 1.8.

I love it. Probably going to hate it in winter though

TBH there does pretty quickly come the point when rather than power / weight improvements the best value for money improvement you can get is a geo setup and some good driver training :).

As I always say to my dad who's gone quite a way with his Westfield (500KG, 250BHP) "Rather than replacing more stuff with Carbon & titanium, why don't you just lose a stone or two?". And his reply is always "I can buy lightweight bits for the car... I can't buy loosing a stone!" :D .

OK! Finally a couple of pics! I know they've been shown on the advert, but I just took a couple in our cramped driveway (currently 5 cars!) Will hopefully take some nicer ones soon and after it's had a clean but here she is!

Current mods are Brembo Discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Braided lines, Militek Exhaust and K-Tek Remap. Not planning on making any changes as it's pretty much spot on how I like it now!

I've been toying with some ideas for the standard 172 wheels, excuse the dodgy photoshop (it's hard with a trackpad) but...YAY or NAY?

I find that the Iceberg is a PITA colour. Nothing really goes well with it other than black or grey. Yellow brings out the blue in the paint and makes it all look a bit, odd (I spent ages photoshopping my bullets and diamonds in different colours before giving up).

The wheels in just plan anthracite, or anthracite with silver diamonds would look good however.

You got a 200? How did I miss this happeneing? lol.

The admiral group have always been by far the best for me. Specifically Bell.
