Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Insurance is almost up on the 200.

Who's everyone insured with?

22, 3 Years NCB, No accidents in the last 3 years.

My 200 is insured with Admiral.

Could have got it slightly cheaper with Green Light+Highway but read a few stories about them been slightly poor in the event of having to make a claim so stuck with what i know.

26, 3 years NCB, no accidents ever, no points

ive got the 172 phase 2

i was insured with Sky Insurance for the last 2 years ive owned it, now im with Adrian Flux bcuase they got it down a lot more than sky could

Apparently so, I noticed this when I tried a quote with them recently. Then again, I tried another quote last week and it said I was already registered yet I didn't have a password? Stupid website!

If you're a member of ClioSport.net, try Sky Insurance for a quote and see how they are. Mention that you're a member.

Give Sky a go as they tend to be competitive with Adrian Flux, despite never having actually used them. They wouldn't insure me on the Clio for the year I had it due to having come from a 1.4 Corsa and not having had enough experience. They won't touch me either on the 330D M Sport as I've no experience with a 'high performance rear wheel drive car' 22y.o + 5 years NCB.

Looks like I'm with Flux again this year as they bettered Elephant by £5, well £255 actually as my best quote from Elephant didn't include mods ;)

Right guys, ive spotted the 182 i want. Ive decided to go for a 182 over the Leon Cupra R.

However its a bit expensive and wondered whether or not its worth it???

Its a liquid yellow 182 (53,000 miles) with both cup packs. It has the following spec and is up for £5750 - he will drop to £5500 no less... max i want to go is £5k especially on a 182. Am i being a tight arse or is the seller being unrealistic?

The car has recently had a full service with receipts to prove it.
I've changed the oil every 6-8k miles or every 6 months along with the oil filter,
Recently serviced with:

You are paying £1500 for the colour alone. If that car was Silver it would be up at £4500.

I know, i love that colour though. Don't get me wrong some Silver ones look nice but they just look like my friends 1.2 clio.

I love the Black ones but i would never have another Black car again as it gets dirty so quickly and every defect shows up.

The blue ones look no different to normal clios or 172's.

I like the pastel blue ones however i have fallen in love with this yellow one. Its exactly how i'd have it and requires notthing doing to it...

I would watch this

Gloss Black cup washer jet blanks,

As if he has blanked them due to the jets not working then its going to be a MOT failure. Not that it should be a major issue, most likely perished pipes.

Still pass a new MOT, but it shall be changing soon.

Yeah, rules change January 2012.

However, most people blank them because the jets look nasty as hell, not because they don't work. Not difficult to fit, but it is a bumper off job so a bit of a PITA.

If you want the LY colour then you have to pay for the premium I'm afraid. I think you'd do well to get it for £5,500 with those mods too.

Can't see LY being worth that kind of premium, there are so many 182's out there that it seems silly to pay an extra £1k+ on a £4k car.

LY does indeed command a premium over any other colour. Doesn't do it for me, but seems to be a popular choice for some people. I'd rather get a trophy for around the same price. That is a lot of mods he's listed, the trendlines especially can go for around £800, so not too bad a price if you actually wanted to do any of this to your car. Good mileage and seems to be looked after, so depends if you want to pay the extra for the colour, or find a silver/black/blue 182 for about £1000 less.

Depends if your going to do those mods or not, as they are pretty close to £1000 worth there. Is this the same one with the 200 steering wheel?
