Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Unmodified and 0 ncb (but you're an elder gentleman...) so not too bad. I was paying around £390 for my 182 with Greenlight and mods declared when I was 28.

Hi, aprently Cooksports and Grams, are two of the same thing, I had a 182 Trophy, so i fitted Mark Fish springs, which were really good. Personaly i would go with Eibachs, think Apex do springs, not sure what they are like

Dont think £260 is that bad, remember postcode and things like that have a lot to do with it, think i paying £390 for my T with mods declared Greenlight

Well same insurer as my M3, also increased the value to £4000 and said to incorporate lowering springs, noted and still £260.00, seems a fair price, the M3 is £505 with them, valued at £22,000 with every mod detailed and includes UK/European track cover with also 5000 miles per year, generally Classicline I find very competitive particular with heavily modified cars. They could not compete on the SVR though, was around £1400.00, in the end I got it insured for around £950 with Admiral under their Platinum cover with every extra which was pretty good.

I've had Prolines and Sportlines on 182's in the past, now have Cooksports.

I really couldn't tell much difference between them on the road to be honest. The cooksports do seem to sit about 10mm lower though all round, so with me running 15's it sits much nicer.

Cooksport and Grams, seem to be the ones to go with if you follow the facebook groups and forums. But this could be swayed by presents and price i guess. Personally i like them, but may switch to coilovers in the future Bilstein or BC Racing

Just purchased some Cooksport springs for my R26 F1. Come with Cup pack shocks (as I have now) - looking forward to getting them fitted :)

Picked up an arm rest this evening along with my Cooksport springs/cup shocks. Think I'm more excited about having an arm rest again :D

Looks clean, offer £1500 and go from there. :)

As to tracking it maybe start with just mild fettling, some coilovers, stickier tyres and a powerflex bush kit, leave interior alone.
If after that you want more, strip it, cage it, buckets etc. and go wild. :D

Since my R26 is being used more for the nursery run than trackdays I thought I'd swap out my Vibra-Technic/K-tec engine mounts for oem ones. Seeing as used sets of these mounts sell for decent money my plan was to sell them to cover the costs of the new ones. However upon removing the upper right and lower dog bone mount I've discovered the the bushes have split :( I've yet to remove the upper left but planning for worst case scenario I'll presume that's split too.

Now seeing as the rubber bushes on the upper 2 mounts are on bolt on plates I thought I'd contact Vibra-Technics to price up replacement bushes. To my surprise they told me they don't sell service kits for them

So it now looks like £360 worth of mounts are now worthless and set for the bin!

Has anyone managed to source replacement bushes for them before? Understandably I don't expect to be able to replace the split dog bone mount bush, unless these are press in bushes, not bonded in ones?

For reference the mounts have covered around 15,000 road miles

Had Apex's on my 172 and they looked great, drop the car nicely but they were rock solid, wouldn't say they improved the handling from standard to be honest.

I'm considering installing an oil catch can on my R26 and I'm after a little bit of info.

The installs that I have seen show it being installed on the breather to inlet pipe. I understand that this is to help limit the amount of oil vapour going back through the inlet tract and coating the turbo/intercooler/throttle body with oil.

What I've not really seen is anything installed on the breather to inlet manifold pipe. Is there a reason why this one is left as normal. Would it not be beneficial to have an oil cooler set up on this line too?

Also does anyone vent to atmosphere instead of back into the intake? Any pros/cons of doing this?

Many thanks
