Who here owns a Subaru?

Asked a while ago, but no interest.

I really want a legacy spec b. Thoughts? Pretty solid choice apart from tax / fuel?

Or are we all about the imprezas here? :D Maybe I could make an impreza wagon work lol

I actually prefer the Legacy over the Impreza especially in wagon form, body styling works better in my eyes, interior is a step up in the legacy by comparison too.

H6 is a solid engine too, although personally I'd be trying to get an import Spec B with a turbo 2.0

Sorry hadn't meant to ignore!

Spec B is indeed a great car (get a manual) - the H6 engine is lovely and does suit the car. But I too would be more inclined to go JDM for a 2.0 turbo version, but that'd result in modding :D

Spec B is great - go for it.

Thanks for the replies

JDM is an option, but they cost about another 2k-3k + they tend to be older + the interior is always cloth + old turbo cars tend to need new turbos + I worry about taking it to the garage to get it fixed lol.

A straight 6 sounds pretty good anyway. I've never had one, and I think they are only going to become rarer as time goes on.

Oh, yes, it will be manual without a doubt. Saloon or wagon is up in the air, though not many saloons about anyway.

Sounds Ike you're looking at the previous generation for imports. As far as old cars needing turbo replacements the TD04(?) used the Spec Bs are fairly indestructible

I'll do a bit more research and possibly expand my parameters then.

It wasn't a dig at any set up in particular, just that in general, a 100k+ mile car, its pretty likely the turbo is going to crap itself at some point soon. + you got all the boost hoses (I assume silicone from the factory so probably fine) and the intercooler. Its just more parts to fail basically than a big 3.0l na is what I was getting at.

The fuel consumption and tax is going to be crazy, so I need the reliability to justify it lol.

I keep looking at a b4 though it's at a car garage which hasn't got the best reviews. Still marmite on the looks though.

Would have loved one today in the snow.

But you look at the condition of most of the imports and they are immaculate. The importers only pick the good ones as shipping is expensive and they need to to able to sell them.

I could show you a few and you'd be shocked on the 'mint' description they give.

OOooOO Recall :D

Yeah, i had the airbag letter a few weeks ago. Nearest place was stoke-on-trent which is 40odd miles away from me. Not got time to be messing about like that so im not bothering with it.

Got my prosport Gauges installed on monday, however the standard 'cups' that hold them in seem pretty rubbish.

What Pods do/have people used?

Anyone here know what the paint is called on my scoob. Its black but it has gold/green/blue-ee/purple speckles in it. Seller told me but i have forgot and can't find a solid answer. cheers
