Who here owns a Subaru?

Looks like you guys have been talking the difference between 2.0 and 2.5. What is interesting to me as at the moment i considering buy a Import Legacy GT tuned by Sti wagon what has a 2.0 twin scroll turbo or the a Forester Sti that has a 2.5 turbo. You guys got any pro's and cons to add to my list.

As an aside, who's generally regarded as the best for Subaru remapping in the UK these days? One thing I'd like to do this year is bring the Forester to effectively Prodrive spec, so it'll be a very gentle tune – but I'd like it done properly. Seems a few places have closed/ceased operating since I last looked. Scoobyworld is relatively local to me...

Scoobyworld come across very professional when i had my clutch and flywheel done.

Duncan Grahem travels to RCM aswell if you want him to map, its who everybody on here told me to go to and i did! A bugger to get hold of but worth it in the end.

Legacy gt 2.0l twin scroll will handle better and is less likely to have head gasket failure and less likely to need piston rings.

I almost bought a legacy world rally edition import but there wasn't any manual ones for sale. They look great with blue paint and the gold wheels.

There are couple of manuals around for sale at the moment, they do look good. I can't make my mind up what looks better the Legacy or Forester.

Legacy is lower, much more aerodynamic. A forester is better for old people and off road. So the forester sti being harder and more sporty is weird

I get what you mean, they seem a little odd but they do look awesome as a STi. I need the boot space, for my kids stuff and my mother inlaws wheelchair. But i want a fun car to.

Wrong way round. Legacy is for old people that want some sort of luxury. The performance models are just for those who want performance.

The forester is big in AUS. They're basically go anywhere sort of cars with the space and practicality to suit. Performance wise they can be made to go quickly.

They both seem to be big in AUS, watched a few youtube clips on the forester and a lot of them are from AUS.

the forester is taller, but doesnt have any more useful space inside. I think a estate legacy vs a forester may even be same size inside. I would recommend you go drive 2-3 examples of both cars and see which you think will be best for you.

I think a legacy feels more like a wrx with a long wheel base and a load of extra weight. a forester seating position feels much higher and they tend to feel higher up and less sporty if you see what i mean.
