Who here owns a Subaru?

well yes but that was 316 not 280 :p those 36 extra horses really kick

You don't have to tell me! Biggest wake up call ever was when I got myself into quite a servere tank slapper coming off a damp roundabout.

Not a nice experience at all and taught me a very valuable lesson about these cars.

@Vita

My mate has had a few WRX's and they did nothing for me either, was only when i drove his STI i loved it. Ended up buying the one i have now because of that.

Maybe you can save for a bit longer and look at the STI's instead? Welcome to come here n have a thrash in mine, or when we next meet up.

Im a bit of a cheapskate so I'll only pay for something that I genuinely feel is worth its money. With the examples I visited they were decent and had good history but I felt they were at least 700-800 over what they're worth. Possibly a tad more. Plus bugeye in wagon form without projectors is ugly.

I'd love an sti but it wouldn't be a good decision for me as I would daily it. Would not make a practical daily in saloon form and I don't fancy having a second car either.

Plus the wife apparently likes the look of the ford st better then the subarus.

Past week I've test drove and looked at that many cars that I'm actually sick of cars lol.

To avoid telephone poles?
you know the funny thing is all the guys at the garage warned me about it doing it coming off roundabouts and i was always super careful with those. They didnt say anything about poles after normal corners though :(

Can a passing mod please ban @Jumper118 ?

Kthxbye
I have some interesting documents from BT regards telephone poles. They sent me a full report on accessing the damage and pulling the only one down and replacing it with a new one. they are cheaper than i expected tbh. The actual pole itself is only £244.72. I think thats pretty good value vs the bags of wood you can buy outside the petrol station.

Always use polythene seat covers?

I've unstuck mine a few times, always by accident. Touch wood I've not stacked it yet, but I did once end up facing the wrong way on a sliproad after hitting black ice as I went into the straight bit off a roundabout. You may remember how fast mine is.

Yeah. If I was to have one again it would be ST2. Plenty out there with Nav/Climate but the bonus of having 5 seats. It was a real PITA having a 5 door family hatchback with only 4 seats.

Yes I noticed that, though I would love leather, 4 seats are not an issue for me. I'm surprised ford did that as the seat set-up in cloth format looks the same. Just with the added seatbelt.

I'll have a look at a couple of examples I guess. See if the other half like's chav orange, otherwise silver seems to be a nice and under-rated colour for them.

You can retrofit a Titanium rear bench and lap belt but obviously have to notify DVLA.

Orange or Sea Grey would be my preference. They have their niggles like any other car. I opted for PFL. Too many facelifts (keyless) were getting pinched at the time.

Cheers, I'll post in the ST thread regarding any questions if I have them.

They look fine tbh.

Ive still got mine to fit. Had a day off today as i am knackered with work so might have a crack later if i can be arsed. Need to take her for a proper drive aswell, only done about 2 miles in last 2 month. I'm crap.
