Who here owns a Subaru?

Nice cars ladies.. :p

Are they Black Art Design coilovers? I know of someone with a mental 306 rallyee with them. Were not cheap at all. Best of the best they say....

http://www.blackartdesigns.com/ I think im right :P

For reference, Ive bought All new suspension for my 306 (I mean everything)
If I went for Black art front coilovers it would cost more than my

Bilstein B8's all round
Eibachs
21mm torsion bars (brand new from peugeot)
Thicker ARB
Strutbace
Top mounts
Wishbones
TRE's
Rear solid mounts
droplinks
Rebuilt beam

I think you get the point... :p

I bought my first Scoob when I was 22, 2005 STi PPP widetrack only modification was a Blitz Nur Spec R...

I am looking to buy one again after test driving a 987 Boxster (non S), E46 M3 Cab and non were as exciting as the Scoob, different experience. I am looking to test drive an Elise because around the same price bracket I could go for an S2, just want something special to drive for the weekends again, suggestions Kosta?

On my second impreza now, first was this which I owned for about 5 years until some dozy sod rear ended me and wrote it off.

Loved that car and was sad to see it go, was in good nick too previous to the accident.

Now I have a Blobeye STI UK, mods so far are just a Racebox exhaust, am currently looking for a set of Prodrive springs or coilovers and maybe a front splitter and wheels resprayed to silver.

My mate picked up his blob eye STI PPP today, looking forward to having a go but at the same time I know its going to make me want to sell up and move on to something quicker

Love Subaru's, some really nice cars here, any here own a 4th gen Legacy 3.0R Spec B?

Two of the guys on a Subaru forum I go to have them and I've been in one of them (the car, not the guy). They're completely different cars to the turbos in the way that they deliver the power : much more considered, almost bland. Horses for courses I guess.

Sovietspybob - what coilovers are they? I don't recognise them. Price? How do you find them?

They're Apex branded BC Racing coilovers. I got them for about £560 i think as they were the end of line models and Apex wern't going to order any more.

I've found them pretty decent so far, nothing to compare them to on the scooby but i like them and a deffinate step up from standard. 32 clicks of adjustment on the struts so you can fine tune it nicely, i went for their 'standard' spring rates which i can't remember... 5 and 7kg i think..

I still need to get a better rear anti roll bar so thats next on the shopping list with a remap..

What suspension you running on yours?

I was dreading this thread appearing.

After spending a great deal of time convincing myself I don't want an impreza, I want one again.

I first bought my Impreza WRX in Augusy 2010. I previously had a blue MG ZS, so I was a little bored of the blue colour. I decided to go for a silver Scoob!

I paid £4000 for it, at the time the car had 58k on the clock and needed the cam belt doing as the service schedule is every 60k miles.

This was the car at the time of purchase.

I know that the body kit and spoiler is that of a UK300, and my car is not a UK300. But I like it more than the standard WRX fireplace shelf!

The standard twin exhaust was terrible and didn't give the grunty noise of most Impreza's so I replaced the full exhaust with a brand new Wolfrace 3" decat exhaust onto my car.

I don't appear to have any photo's (but I have 1 video of the RR, and 2) of the exhaust since it has been fitted (that was almost 12 months ago now too)

I then took my car to the OcUK RR last summer and got the below results!

At stock my car should run at 219bhp, with my exhaust my car runs at 239bhp.

My car is now worth around £2500 and has done a total of 84k miles (25k miles done in 18 months) Scary fuel bill :)

Some nice cars in here guys, thank you all for sharing.

Ah right, I remember when they sold those. Feel like I missed out on the opportunity to get them.

I am still running standard struts with Prodrive Eibach springs. They're quite boaty now as they're getting old. The only other things I have done it fit a front and rear strut brace.

I was dreading this thread appearing.

After spending a great deal of time convincing myself I don't want an impreza, I want one again.

:o

Ever owned one? I would say it's one of those cars that you need to own at some point.

Drove this at the weekend:
It went ok.

No more feedback than that?

I am looking to buy one again after test driving a 987 Boxster (non S), E46 M3 Cab and non were as exciting as the Scoob, different experience. I am looking to test drive an Elise because around the same price bracket I could go for an S2, just want something special to drive for the weekends again, suggestions Kosta?

Hey mate. What sort of price range would you now be looking at? I'd recommend anyone to get a JDM model car these days to be honest. Even more so a Spec C version or similar. It all depends if you can handle losing the burble :p

no but I have driven quite a few.

2002 STI type UK with 380Bhp and loads of other mental stuff that I wouldn't have a hope of listing.
2004 STI similar to your own but without any performance mods.
2005 STI with DCCD that was stock

all of them were brilliant. the 2002 car felt like it was going to tear my ears off

If the day comes where I do get one, it would most likely be the hawkeye as I prefer the aesthetics of it the most. either way, the 2000[?]-2005[?] shape is the best in my opinion.

not too keen on the hatches or any of the newer sedans.
