Interesting, not seen this done before. Most normally just buy the eBay special headlights. Looking forward to the outcome.

The eBay specials put me right off. I like things that look "right".

Just got to be strategic about when I do it as I'll need to do both headlights at the same time and I am planning on de-tango and black eye mod whilst it is all apart.

There are a couple of threads where people have done the above with good outcomes so I'm hopeful it will work.

The problem is I don't have the guys address any more, but I have receipt with his name, date and time of purchase and insurance document showing I changed to another vehicle 3hours before it was going across so hopefully its not an issue.

I'll message him and ask for for his address.

After reading the thread about that guy getting a speeding thing weeks after he sold the car makes me think. If he didn't pay to get across there he could have been caught by speed camera or some crap too :/ hopefully he just didn't realise cos he was French :p
 
Turns out I won't be moving now, so it's car spending time.

Been offered an '08 330S with 70k mileage (but rebuilt and fully forged by ProDrive this year) for 12500.

Very tempted at the moment!
 
I generally read into Fully Forged as pistons, rods, gasket, studs, crank.
As far as you can go really before closed deck.

Waiting for receipts though to confirm it all :)


My last hatch ended up like this though, so a bit cautious this time... :p
