Who is going down from the Premier League ?

Amazing turn around, you seemed gone a few short weeks ago

23rd of March I texted my Dad "Dodged a machine gun by not getting a season ticket then, ****ing awful" ...

Thought we were well and truly out, that was after a dire display against Spurs I think.

What Pearson has achieved is nothing short of miraculous.

Newcastle will stay up because simply not because we are good enough and we will beat West Ham and take control of our own premier league status, but simply because we will of been extremely lucky that another 3 teams had less points. Mainly Hull will stay on 34pts.

It is embarrasing, for a team that has no ambition we don't even deserve to compete in any league because what is the point. So to give the championship a lack of respect and say we deserve to go down to that league is also wrong.

For all the fans that blindly turn up through "thick and thin", all that crap about "let's get behind the team" absolute rubbish. Them players don't care and I don't blame them. Sport Direct Utd are not in any way a reflection of the history of the club, have no link to any great players we have had and no connection with anything to do with the city or people.

I personally couldn't care less if they get relegated or not, in fact if all the 3 teams that will be promoted to the premier league have an ambition for success then I think regardless of how many pts Newcastle have we should relegate our selves to make way .

And I am a fan yes :)

You just summed up what a lot of fans feel, myself included. This is Ashley's revenge for all those get out of our club chants.

With United pretty much cemented into 4th now I can see Hull getting a win there....maybe.

I just hope there's at least a little bit of excitement this weekend.

I can't stand newcastle fans and i live 30-40 minutes away from the place, all you hear constantly is were this were that, and everything else theres nothing ide love more than our lot to put in a dismal performance or try out some more of the youth players on sunday and let hull take a victory that will hopefully drag newcastle down! they haven't deserved to stay up at all, **** poor team performances, and it looks like the players aren't interested at all!

I would love for Newcastle to come down! I actually really like the club, but I've never been to that St James' Park and it would be a great away day next season!

What?

sorry was in rant mode, i should have stated we are this, we are that, as in they constantly bang on about how good their fans are, how much they love there club, how much they support there team more, and all this stuff, they just irritate me tbh.

I like to consider myself a neutral in the Premier League. (As i love a punt!) Though over the last couple of years i've developed a soft spot for Sunderland as the Mrs is a sunderland fan. Hard game last night, and glad they managed to avoid the drop.

Of all the teams to develop a soft spot for! I must admit I would have liked them to go down just because they'll be in the same boat next season buying the same old trash, playing boring stuff and generally struggling. May as well stop delaying the inevitable..

I wanted Sunderland to go down earlier in the season to send that **** Poyet back where he belongs, but they're much more likeable with Advocaat at the helm.

Yeah fair one, their form has been terrible through out the season and they're lucky to get through it again. Though I've lived in the North East now for the past 7 years, and me and the Mrs occasionally go to home matches. I take an active interest in Sunderland affairs and what not. However, since the arrival of Defoe and Advocaat there seems to be a slight spring put back in the step in the remainder of the team. From the post match interview last night, Advocaat hinted he may stay though will not release his decision untill next week!

I would prefer if Newcastle stayed in the league to be honest, purely because of the Derby match!

Man U aren't exactly formidable away, you never know, Hull could get a 1-0 win. West Ham are so bad at the moment though I can't see Newcastle not getting at least a point (despite how bad they are also).
