Who is looking forward to GTA V

I am quite excited, i did play on the 360 a hell of a lot, but ended up getting bored but then when they added the first person on the xbox one and ps4 i wanted to play again, but i have decided to wait for the pc release to enjoy playing the game in first person mode its going to look great!
 
So, are Heists as good as they were made out to be ? Tried to get on the other night but had server issues and to be honest, I'm not in that much of a rush to try it out. Maybe the wait outlived hype (for me).
 
So, after a year and a half the game that was promoted massively by its heists, has finally got its heists? lol

Any good? Thought I spotted it on ps4 for £13, turned out to be the ps3. Boo.
 
They are seriously challenging. Challenging to the point that you will find it hard to complete with randoms via match making and no comms.

Its much less frustrating when you're in a crew with others on comms.

The pay outs are decent, we did the first proper heist last night and got 100k each. As leader i got 160k, but that was because I had to pay 40k just to start the heist. And there was a nice first time completion bonus of 150k or something. They aren't the most efficient way to earn money, as griding easy missions is probably the most productive.

But the heists are definitely the most fun. They have all the feel of heists in single player, but with your mates. Top work rockstar.

Only downside is how busy the servers are. Give it a week however and the numbers will be back to normal.
 
I haven't been able to get on to try them, I just keep getting kicked from the online servers. I figure give it a week or so for things to die down then will be trying again. I think with randoms everyone wants to be the leader as fear getting screwed over but if people from here then happy to not be the leader.

I don't think its not just that, although it is a point. The crew cuts default pretty low. When we did the prison heist last night it was defaulting to 15 % each for the 3 crew members and 55 % for me as host. Yes the host should get more to cover the buy in, but 55% was a bit too much. I adjusted it down so everybody got 100k and i got 160k to cover my 40k buy in. Choices were either 25% each or 20/20/20/40 split. Went with the 20/20/20/40 split in the end.

But thing is, this happens on the setup missions too where money is not a an issue. I think the problem is that its just difficult, and when you've got randoms from match making the determination to see things through isn't there. They don't do it first time so they quit out. We did the prison heist last night, failed a bunch of times but kept going. Bunch of randoms wouldn't have had that level of determination we did.

It's really easy, one person flies the velum past the jet to make it turn and the other in the chopper takes it down with missiles. If the prison team are quick it's only 4-5 jets you've got to kill.

The jets keep spawning if you blow them up, you just have to follow the jet with the plane until the prison team finish :)

That was my technique with you last night, not so sure it would work on hard. The AI on the jet pilot was so poor !
