Who is looking forward to GTA V

How can you double check that your game save from PS3 will be transferred over to the PS4 version? I sold my PS3 ages ago. Does it pull the save from the cloud? Can I check that it's got my old save?

So much for so called more traffic density....

I thought this was supposed to be one of the biggest improvements. A significant increase in population and traffic density...

It looks as dead last gen version in online mode.

It's your Online stats that are transferred, not SP save progress, so it's whatever was synced to the R* servers last time you played.

From what i've read with the extra processing power of the PS4 and XBox One they have introduced Half-Term into the traffic model :)

Just an FYI for peeps moving from 360 to ps4, don't forget to link your psnid to your rockstar social account so you can get your bonuses.

It'll probably take developers a couple of games into the new consoles before they start to really push it to 100%. That means we are still yet to see the full potential of both yet.

Yea I remember so many articles about how the PS3 was at its peak, and then came the last of us :) I think we will be seeing some incredible stuff near the end of the next gen consoles life spans.

Yeah but the PS4 and it's cell architecture was difficult to code for, the PS4 and Xbone are based on x86 so it's pretty much a PC, so it shouldn't be no where near as difficult.

I have this pre-ordered for PS4 on Playstation Store. Apparantly I get $500,000 in single player and another half a million in online for pre-ordering.

Anyt tips on early investment on the stock market? I want to buy all properties and businesses this time around. I was never able to afford the golf club and a few others on the PS3 version!!!!

Don't buy anything until you complete the game.

Thank me later when you are a billionaire. :D

I did that with the plan to buy everything and do all the missions/exploration stuff, then I got a whiff of a current gen version and stopped with the goal of doing it properly then for the first time.

Is it something you can do now?

Character Transfer
You will need a Rockstar Games Social Club account linked to the console accounts used when previously playing GTA Online.

When entering GTA Online, you will be given the option to transfer your previous GTA Online character and progression data. Once you have chosen to transfer your previous character and progression data, the transferable in-game money, RP and Rank of all previous characters will be displayed. These are the characters that will be transferred to the PlayStation®4 or Xbox One. Once the transfer has completed, you will be prompted to choose a character and enter GTA Online.

You will still be able to play your existing characters on PlayStation®3 and/or Xbox 360, however any progress made with versions of the characters on those systems after a transfer will remain on those systems only. Any existing PlayStation®4 or Xbox One GTA Online character and progression data will be replaced by the previous character and progression data during the transfer, except for any existing in-game money, which will be combined with your transferred balance.

All earned in-game money will transfer. Purchased in-game money that has not yet been spent will only transfer within a console family (e.g. PlayStation®3 to PlayStation®4).

I didn't even do that.

I did 1 heist. Had about $100k - $300k in each character, and playing the stockmarket with only peewater stock, buy when it was in single digits and sell when it get to like 70 or something and start to drop. Did it a couple of times, ended up with $7billion to $20billion in stocks.

Still only 1/3rd through the game.

im sure DF said that single player cod was higher frames on xbox :) both rock steady 60 online.

DF fell over themselves to point out that went a threat grenade is thrown and goes off that fps might drop under 50 for a split second.

Now instead of explaining that there's no way of seeing the fps drop as the screen is filled with a digital red flash effect, they seemed happy to leave the impression ps4 CoD players are playing the equivalent of Assassins Creed or something.

It's pretty much a flawless full 1080p 60fps triple buffered presentation when compared with anything else out there. It's not completely perfect but outside of Nintendo stuff games rarely are.

I remember blowing up company trucks on the ps3 version and hoping it would effect the stock market but it didn't. I wonder if this has changed.

I personally thought the stock market thing in the game was a great idea but very poorly thought-out, executed and not explained properly to the player at all. There was a lot more that could have been done with it throughout the game rather than it hinging largely on the assassination missions.
