Delete the update and try again - it did this for me and starting working after 5 minutes or so. Not sure if it's related to the game having to install so much first before it can download.

Tried that. Several times. Rebooted console and router, still no joy. I'll just have to play SP for now

Well I finally managed to get Sony to agree to a refund and bought a physical copy from the shops. Now I also can't download the update. I'm having a great time at the moment

Played it for a bit, did a few missions and am really enjoying it.

Also played a tennis match which was great

I haven't used the code for the 1k bonus yet (I forgot about it in all honesty) I presume I can just redeem it and it will show up in game? nothing else needed? Or should I have done that first then start my save?

And to top it off I spent 2 hrs on the phone to Sony because it hasn't registered my preorder cash bonus online for the digital version.

This game is stunning, the driving is better than most dedicated driving games

First person view is awesome, love all the different animations, puts you more into the game world. really impressed with this one.

Update isn't working for me on ps4, it refuses to download. No online for me then

Same here. A quick Google suggests it is affecting a lot of players.

Glad I wasn't staying up until midnight to play Online with friends

So does the sp save come over from my 360 to ps4? I think I'm going to run through the sp all again, but it would be nice to have a 80 something % save game to muck about on...

Same for me mate, not worth the saving if they cant deliver on release day, i even noticed its royal mail tracked for me so they postman would have to ring up to my apartment to sign for it, not even a slip in the mailbox so deffo hasnt been.

If i miss him tomorrow that means a trip to pick it up from the mail centre which i coulda done today to Tesco to pick up the game, /sigh

Wow. My Simply Games order didn't arrive. My first and last time buying from them I think. Ridiculously expensive as well. This is literally the first time I haven't had a game arrive on or before release day since I mail ordered Fighters Destiny for the N64 in 1998.
