Agree there. Pele is over rated imo in the sense that he never went to europe and had a better team round him.

It's impossible to say who is/was the best as it's a team sport and there are a lot of external factors contributing to any individual players' success, players nowadays tend to go where they have the best chance of personal success rather than staying loyal to any particular club but on the other hand football was of a lower standard back in the day.

My favourite player to have watched has to be Thierry Henry at his peak with Arsenal, I look back on him now and it feels like the football equivalent of having watched Picasso painting his best works.
