He displayed the same traits as DiamondMark.

I remember in one of those Christmas present haul threads he posted pictures of debit cards claiming they were preloaded with £x000s and complaining when he got a Ford Focus instead of a Golf or something for his birthday.

Weird behaviour.

There was a time each place was quite unique and distinctive with their forums. Today if you're browsing Reddit, Neowin, Guru3D, OcUK etc or most forums the discussions are very similar. Just the member names are different. You wouldn't know what forum you were on except the logo to left of each forum.

AFAIK he wasn't someone trolling unless more went on behind the scenes than I'm aware of. Though unscrupulous I don't think he quite intended where things ended up but once he'd set things in motion with the whole fabricated lifestyle based on half-truths and gaining people's confidence he had to keep living up to the lies he'd created which eventually culminated in a collision of his invented persona and the real person.

I stayed out of most of those threads as he was one of those larger than life, buddy, buddy, characters that you end up looking like the bad guy for questioning the authenticity of. As someone else once said the back peddling was amazing once people found out his true character.

Also a lot of back peddling from other members who stuck up for him when his character was called into question. At the time, mostly MODS. He fooled so many people, he had his own thread for his mumblings and to amuse himself. it was hilare though.

He also had a Bently IIRC.
 
Don't think he owned the Bentley, just took photos of him sitting in a Bentley...

Also just remembered that I received an email from his wife/ex-wife - she must've sent it to everyone in his email list - claiming how he had cheated, what a terrible person he was etc. Can't post it on here as it was full of colourful language!
 
I remember reading something like that. I remember he was building a garage at his house in Kent ? but it turned out not to be his house as someone on here was friends with the actual owner or something....

Have you got a link to the thread or has it vanished? It is a shame that some of this stuff disappears sometimes rather than getting locked.

In a confession thread, a member emailed the OP of that and claimed to be a pre-op tranny.
That person adopted a new forum ID called 'Lucy_bee'.
Apparently this was OK'ed by the Dons.
That person racked up a massive amount of posts very quickly.
Lucy has sought attention in every single thread that they have posted in, and tried to turn the mundane conversations into one about sex and their transgender issues.
Lucy introduced us to 'Jess' one day, out of the blue.
Lucy then told us that 'Jess' wanted nothing to do with her, because of her transgender'ness.
'Jess' suddenly decided that she was totally fine with it and they entered into a relationship.
This relationship was hounded around GD in a lot of threads, but mainly GD.
Lucy continued to turn any thread even slightly related to clothes, female issues, sex, cooking (basically anything) into her own personal soap box.
Lucy announced she was off to Thailand for surgery.
Jess assumed Lucy's account and claimed that she suffered complications - she did this in a thread totally unrelated to Lucy. Indeed, Lucy had mainly posted within TIAM. But, when there's a thread to derail - Lucy (or Jess) is there!
A few people stated that they were suspicious.
Lucy (Jess?) defended this.
This attention seeking thread has now appeared.
