i am a Glaswegian, and living in England for 6 years, and i regulary go into the pub when there is an England game on wearing my Scotland top, to show support for your boys. So i thought i would give my 2p worth
does it really matter if the next England manager isnt an Englishman?
The most sucessful manager of recent years has undoubtedly been Sven. I think this whole stiff upper lip thing has got to go, what you really need is a continental manager who can help bring more pace to your team, the prem is arguably the best league in the world, and again in recent years this has been down to a change of style of the "English" game, with it now having more flair, and less ...dare i say it... stodginess.
Physco doesnt have the experience, but undoubtedley has the passion and the drive for such a post ...
but if i had to pick a home grown manager, it would be none of the above choices.
I think Martin O'Neil , ex of Celtic (boo hiss) could do fantastic things with the English national team
