It has games for windows live and it's basically the first time in my life I've gone from a must-buy to a forget-it in the space of mere seconds.

Talk about a cold shower. They were doing so well.

Couldn't care less that it uses GFWL, it's annoying but shouldn't be too much of a problem.

..and it wont be a problem for the vast majority of people. I've no inherent love for Microsoft but, with the many many games I've played through windows live across different windows installations and hardware, I've never had a problem outside of really not enjoying having to login or wait on it logging in automatically.

I'm sorry for all the people that had a bad time with it whenever they did, but just because they are the people that run around screaming while most have nothing to say about it, doesn't make it the devil.

Some people that I've spoke to recently claim things like "I only played one game with it and it was AAAAWWWFUL!!" and then I list all the other games they have that use GFWL and they are surprised, or don't even remember it being part of the process.

GTA4
Batman:AA
Bioshock
etc etc

I would rather it wasn't there, but I wont lose a wink of sleep over it.

My GFWL experience was a while ago, and has put me off since and never gone back to it. However I have never really wanted a game on it...

This may force me into trying it out again... I'm getting flashbacks already :p

I've just read that developers can only release two patches for free, after that, they need to pay per patch. So don't expect masses of support for this game unless it sells like hot cakes.

I'll be leaving it for the time being.

People who refuse to play a game because of GFWL, there loss tbh. It really isn't that bad, i mean i would prefer it not to have it, but it doesn't effect gameplay in anyway? Also where does it say that the game is GFWL?

This is fantastic news. I don't really understand what the big deal about GFWL is (can anyone tell me what's so bad about it?) but I loved this on PS3 and will be picking it up on PC.

GFWL support is good news for the publisher as it willl stop all online game mode piracy so that is most likely why they chose that by using mandatory online GFWL profiles + SSA=zero piracy what else can they do on an SP based game. Then you have the 85% of 360 code is included in GFWL so less work for the developers to port over.

Thats why Capcom & WB Games keep using GFWL its saves dev time/money as well as limits piracy effectively.

Sigh, GFWL is a disaster. Seemed what took like forever between launching Dirt 3 for the first time and actually getting to play it.

I think I still can't play any GFWL games because microsoft decided that when they couldn't charge my expired debit card they would give it the benefit of the doubt for a month and allow it to continue to run my xbox live subscription, and now my account is suspended until I pay for xbox live, that includes playing any GFWL games on my current account.

Went from a first day buy to not buying, oh well.

So no different than what Valve would do to your Steam account then if the card expired...........
