Whoever pulled the trigger is...

Dave himself has admitted it's from a military shop, with a watermark of a soldier with a gun. I am pointing out it is misleading and probably not even a walking stick as pictured or any other synonym and asked him for his source. Everyone else is trying to be clever and getting their knickers in a twist over it.

Just because it's from a military shop doesn't make it a military walking stick. It makes it a walking stick that is sold at a military shop.

Are you meaning to tell me that the military supplies clothes for kids now?

OMG a military boiler suit! If you wear it you must be in the armies!

Clearly the walking stick in question is in the style of a military weapon (other wise why would the police taser him) just as the clothes in your strawman are in a military style, hence sold by a military shop. I don' know why you are getting you knickers in a twist over this, but it is funny.

It's not a ****ing "military style" walking stick, it's a standard folding walking stick as used by 10s of thousands of old people up and down the country, it's a standard design sold in shops all over the place. Ignorance is not a defence for you so stop digging your hole deeper.................

Whoever called the police reporting a gun should be done for wasting police time (being stupid is not a crime unfortunately) and the copper should either be given some proper training or have their taser revoked.

I agree yes but the one posted by dave, from a 100 yards, depending on weather and light etc could be mistaken for a big ass gun :)

The article says he was blind, not deaf, so presumably he heard someone shouting get down and failed to react. I have sympathy for the police in this scenario.
How the **** would the blind guy know they were shouting at him? The police officer is a complete moron and should be thrown out and charged with assault.

Well logically if you don't know who they're shouting at you assume they mean you rather than not. That way you don't get tasered

"Military walking stick" :D

I know our forces are suffering cutbacks but it's not *that* bad is it?

"Hi yes I'm a bit blind so I need a cane, do you have any 50 caliber models with torch, knife and GPS built in please?"

Bloody hell Tosno :D

LOL. Stay in the middle of a busy pedastrian section. Close your eyes.

Someone shouts "POLICE GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES OR WE WILL FIRE"

Right you'll totally assume they're talking to you, with hundreds of people around you. LOL

This has got to be thread of the day :D

Well it made me chuckle.

Can see how mistakes were made.
