Who's going to a Grand Prix in 2012?

Does anyone know if you can go to Silverstone just for race day on the Sunday? Looked at tickets but could only see weekends etc. Maybe they're sold out? :(

Yes you could buy Sunday-only tickets, but as you say they probably sold out a while ago now.

Edit - actually it still says limited availability...

Looks like Vale and Farm are still available, which are fairly decent spots too.

This looked like a good deal

Italian Grand Prix: Two Night Stay For Two With Race Tickets

GA tickets only though. To get near any corners at Monza you need a grandstand really.

I'm going to Monza as part of a holiday in Italy.

Any tips ? I planned to go GA on the Sunday with the gf ( she's into F1)

Let us know how it goes, I'm planning this exact same thing (GF too) next year.

Although I think a grandstand is worth it, as a lot of the GA areas are nowhere near corners.

Have just been offered (and accepted) a ticket, flights and hotel for Germany in a couple of weeks. Not a huge F1 fan and not too sure what to expect, but would be silly not to! (A friend a his brother were going, brother can't go now and they couldn't cancel both tickets so offered to me for free - package deal)

I have no idea, he just asked me last night - he's sending on more details to me tonight so will know more after that. AFAIK it's Sat qualifying and Sunday race also, not sure on GA or grandstand though. I'm assuming ga would just be find a spot wherever you can at the various spectator areas around the track?

I love Spa, there's just something about the place, the surrounding countryside is gorgeous too. Lovely place. Love how you're driving along a motorway for ages and all you see is walls on either side, then at the end of it you see these big trees and beautiful hills of them unfolding. Like finding the pot at the end of the rainbow with that race track in the middle of it :D

Yep.

You get a couple of glimpses of the track through the trees from the motorway too.

Been 3 times, absolutely love the place. The cars sound completely different echoing through the trees as they do on the open space of Silverstone.
