Will do the same then, not overly bothered, staying in a hotel next week, so it would have been nice. Certainly not going to go searching or queuing up for one though.
 
Am I the only one who would never que for hours outside of a store to be one of the first to get an item?

I think it is more to do with actually getting one, rather than being the first.

Not everyone want's to see the launch day go by and then wait 3 weeks for it to arrive.

I agree

Though, when the iPad one came out - stock wasn't around for months. I was lucky to get mine. If i really wanted one I would be prepared to queue for a couple of hours max.. so 3pm if it opens at 5pm. I would never queue though at midnight

I wouldn't that's for sure! Order online and wait is much easier. That said I might see if Apple have any to play on when I go to the Trafford Centre later
 
Apple really are the masters of keeping hype high and launch day numbers low to create huge publicity and queues.

Hat's off to 'em...
 
Being first is nice but not important. Just getting one is the important thing for me as I'm between iPads at the moment and I'm really missing it.
 
Just had an email from the company with the huge catalogues, it said
Available for free home delivery or check and reserve in selected stores

Wouldn't think you would be able to reserve
 
I'm not getting one (happy with ipad1), but I've just walked past the Bath store, and there were around 25 people queuing.
 
I'm in a list with 4 others who have put their name down for one at the university I work at. As the uni is a reseller they've little idea on when any will arrive but my only other option is to somehow get to Toronto (I don't drive) and stand in line like a turnip.

So if it takes a few weeks I'll get by. Like Feek I am between iPads and really miss it, but I just hate standing in queues.
 
Got a text from a mate in the Glasgow queue, roughly 150 there now.

Im going to an argos near me. They told me they had 'quite a few' units.. If this is code for 4 ipads then im screwed. heading out for about 4pm.
