Who's joining the queue for iPad 2 on Friday then?

Catch a train or drive to a store ???? ... They are selling over the counter now with reserving as stock arrives daily. That's what I did last Thursday, and got a 32gig wi-fi in black.... Posting from it now :D

hey guys,

I may try J-Lewis tomorrow Aikon 359.

I have offered to collect the one in sale on the forums this eve, but havent heard back from the chap :(

9designs2 i have 2 stores i can drive to pretty easily. Cambridge or Milton Keynes.

Both havent had any stock for 3 days ;) so their not that easy to get hold of as of yet.

Mine came from MK, I called them first to make sure they had the version I wanted, they had plenty, and as I was making a special trip they put my name on one. Seems 3G versions could be in shorter supply, wifi should be ok.

There is still a queue outside the Regent Street store every morning.

Like I said, also took me over an hour queuing to get one on Sunday.

Although still out of stock last time I checked, I picked mine up from Tesco yesterday.

Already managed to scratch the back  (at least I think it was not there when I took it out of the box but am not 100% sure).

Incidentally, (frustratingly in my case as it turns out) Apple's shipping times are better than expected. When I ordered on the 28th, 1-2 weeks was initially quoted and an estimated ship date of the 12th in the confirmation email. I got an email yesterday, after I had gone out, saying it had been shipped. So I guess I have one to send back or possibly sell.

(And tempting as it may be to send the scratched on back instead, they are different models. On impulse, I went ahead and got the 32gb model from Tesco after ordering the 16gb online.)

I ordered a iPad and I was quoted 2 months so I rang up customer services and they said that they were all out of stock because everyone wanted to buy this revolutionary product. So i went on ebay and got a pretty cheap one but it ended up being a scam (empty box). I called up apple and they refused to compensate for my purchase on ebay - now I don't bother with apple as their customer service is useless.

Your blaming Apple for an ebay scam?

Haha, the fact you bought a second hand ipad is nothing to do with apple.

Your quarrel is with eBay and the guy who sold it to you. Although with the intelligence you have displayed you probably fell for the old ipad 2 box scam where he clearly states it is just the box, leaving you with nothing to stand on! Except a box.

Why are people paying £50/£100/£200 more for an iPad 2 on eBay? I understand there are stock issues but I only have to walk down the road from work to find stock (that road being Tottenham Court Road may help :p) and am sure with a little digging any one could find one. So tempting to get one on my CC and sell it on eBay - seems to good to be true.

EDIT- maybe I should just sell the box on eBay :p:D

Surely this isn't a serious post? Why was you expecting Apple to compensate you?
