1 - I genuinely think it's a good cover

2 - I like the song but not by RHCP
 
im sorry but that cover is awful. never minding the fact they cant sing (ok they can...as well as Cheryl Cole can), they dont portray any of the emotion behind the song that, regardless of the silly video, the RHCP's do.


the All Saints cover is trash.

Yeah me too. Cant say I'm their biggest fan but they certainly did that song justice IMO and that cant be said for a lot of the bands that go on there.

Just look at Lady Sovereigns cover she did on the live lounge lol.
 
for an artist to be talentless I presume you're saying that you could do better? An artist can even be rubbish without being talentless. I would say that Jedward are completely talentless, they barely managed simple choreographed dance routines which most people could handle, and entirely failed to sing, at any point in the whole competition, they only ever went through the first round to annoy Simon, no idea how they lasted as long as they did.
 
I wasn't saying devoid of all talent, I was saying no better than any local club singer.

depends on the standard of your local club singer to be honest, there are hundreds of thousands of people talented enough to get a record contract given the right situation, so it stands to reason that there will be members of the general public who are more talented than people who've had a lucky break they maybe didn't deserve, or had a rich daddy etc.

I can't really comment on Beyonce as I've never taken the time/effort to give any thought to her ability, and have never seen her sing live etc.

I just find a lot of their songs utterly catchy, and I could play most of them over and over again.

One criticism I do have though, is that Anthony Kiedis is absolutely terrible at singing live. Great atmosphere, but crap singing.

Not really because people who can't read are using this thread as a 'Who don't you like' and a lot of people hate The Beatles & Queen.
Jive Bunny would be really silly if he said they have no talent so therefore I conclude he didn't read the thread title.
