Why aren't bikes as beautiful as they used to be?

Does anyone else think bikes are getting pretty ugly these days? Sure, the technical capability of them is insane but the effort in making them pretty doesn't seem to be there anymore.

For example, how did this:

End up looking like this?

Don't get me wrong, new bikes aren't COMPLETELY hideous but they're getting there, does anyone else agree?

in all fairness the new one has standard cans on whereas the older one doesnt. lifted higher and a race can so smaller. they were UUUGGGLLYYYY..........

i can't find a pic of a standard R1 with a standard can lol.

put that in black and gold and it's quite nice until you stand behind it imo. the 2010 cross plane is a nice looker from the side in the right colors.


anyway who cares what it looks like if your on it and having fun. or maybe you ride past shop windows just to catch a glimps of yourself. /whistles
