Lol are you really that nieve? or am i really going to have to post million of links to countless windows problems?

What are you talking about? Where have I said windows doesn't have problems? Or are you just trying to dodge actually rebbuting any of my posts?

macs are for people who think they know that they're better than pc's

every mac user i know is a total newbie at using them, and can't do a simple task like burn a dvd and has no idea what to do when something goes wrong

Thats called pruning....

28952 Threads...
Again, dating back the almost ancient OS X 10.0! If it were Windows, it would be millions and again, a very few supporting forums around for Mac, hardly surprising at all.

Like I say, you have no ground to prove unless you own a Mac.

WHAT are you taking about lol, nobody here has said mac os is perfect we know that but its a damn sight better than anything microsoft has to offer, what were getting at is there are soooo many mac bashers for no reason where most have never even touched one.

Again, have you ever owned a Mac? A groundless comment.

Thought I'd get my post in a mac versus windows thread:

I've used both and they're both great and both as reliable as each other. So why a mac should cost more. If you take into account the fact that they cant play games and you can't get as flexible a range of hardware, they should really cost less.

Its amusing how mac users think their os is so amazingly stable, Comsidering the relatively TINY amount of software available on it compared to windows its not suprising macs have a reputation of crashing less. A reputation that was founded long before xp and vista and today is total bs.

Surely a hallmark of a good OS would be stopping applications taking down the whole OS? And it therefore wouldn't matter what applications crash? Or how many of them there was.

Apps crash on my Mac plenty of times. But I just force-quit and open it again. The OS is unaffected. On Windows you're required to restart the whole computer when an app freezes the screen.

That said I generally found Windows XP to be relatively stable. Not as stable as my 2 Macs but close enough. That's not why I switched though.

Of course there would be more windows posts, because there are about 1 billion more windows users. I've already posted a forum discussing 10.4 errors.

Yes just ignore thousands of mac users then.

C'mon... it's fashion?

This thread is pointless way to many fanboy chumps who have no idea what they are talking about when they obviously have never used a mac, thread should be deleted like all the other pointless mac v windows threads.

Why though?

Windows does what windows is post to do and a mac does what its post to do.

had one for six months, was all i used (besides doing anything useful)

used it for email, internet + media, forced myself to use it so i could learn a bit about them so i could add it to my cv

even the mouse movement algorithm is annoying, feels sluggish on all settings

-apple should have zero errors, since they choose what goes into their machines (hardware wise)

Better design? More software? More compact? Quieter?

And that's aside from things like better OS as some of us assert.

I think too many people haven't actually used a Mac

You can't know that many then...

I can't get over that this thread is going for a second night in a row! I wasn't going to get involved again because it's pretty petty. I've made a decision based on my own experiences of both platforms and I have enough conviction in my decisions so as not to have to defend them against a load of people I don't know on a Forum.

Having said that it is pretty funny so I might continue to play Devils Advocate for a bit longer. ;)

It amuses me that most of the PC users slating Macs use as the main cause of their argument "The people that I know that use macs....." or "The people that I've had contact with that use macs...." Why not try them out for yourself and make a judgement rather than basing your opinions on a character judgement other people :p

Also just like to say that we're getting OSX 10.5 very soon. If you want to know how good the features in it are you can wait another 4 years for Windows "Next Version After Vista".

*disclaimer, the last paragraph was 100% tongue in cheek*
