Why do I hate apple?

This thread is hilarious. I sounds like people are in some way self concious about their computers or an Apple owner has just kicked their dog.

I use OSX, My primary computer is a MacBook Pro and I do everything I used to do on my PC on the Mac just as well (apart from finder sucks for file management) and if I want to play a game I use the xbox 360 or wii. I really don't understand why people always use the "well it can't play games" line when trying to attack macs, thats not important to all of us ;)

Seriously, take some happy pills and stop getting so red in the face about... a computer.

I love my new MBP, with Boot Camp and VMware Fusion I can choose to run any OSX or Windows apps I like - so much for lack of software choice with macs.

I've nothing against windows, and have an xp gaming rig but given the choice I'd usually prefer the OSX way of doing things to Windows.

Its not really the computer at fault really I have come to realise.

Its the users that have a knack of getting on my T**s:p

I have heard this so may times.

"I can do that on a mac" Yawn

Well, its usually the lot that bummed the PowerPC hardware that used to point out you could do the same stuff on non x86.

Now its all intel there should be less of that :p

I don't like Macs but wish people would stop holding on old truths about PCs and MAcs for that matter, they are not that overpriced any more for a start. I think we just let Mac get the market share it wants, opening it's users upto Apple's anti competitive practice and closed platform ideology. Let see how they deal with being the most popular platform on the block.

There allot of Mac fan boy most of them work in the stores, and are a pain to deal with! I hate going in them. I work in design industry where we use both Mac and pc together cant live without either, I have found my adobe and sketch up programs run more smoothly on a Mac but remain networked to a pc where I use CAD, as the support for this on Mac is none existent. Neither one is better than the other but both do there job respectively, and both can annoy me just as much as each other! It probably would be nice to run all apps on the one pc but its nice have that change of scenery now and again

What about the 3ghz Octo core based Macs? I would say yours is about 40% slower in apps that support multiple cores :)

bascially nothing then. no app uses 8 cores on it's own, and it would be cheaper like I#ve already said to by two workstation pc's and a file server, if you just wanted to run loads of demanding apps at the same time.

Doesn't make what he said any more true...

i love it how the mac and pc people get so defensive over their associated hardware/software. its funny how either side would rather die by the side of their given architecture than give in and admit defeat

I use both, enjoy using both.

Original poster doesn't have a clue about anything.

His 10ghz underwater PC must surely be overpriced just as my iMac is.

I think it's ridiculous that you try to form opinions of a mac user just because you've seen one or two people with 'spikey hair' that design art.

I admit that there are mac users who do take the wrong attitude but as this original post proves, there are pc users who do so also.

I think it's funny that the debate has gone from "why do I hate Apple" to "Why do I hate Apple users".

Bit of a stereotype don't you think? Even if it's based on your personal experience with a few mac users. Come into the Mac Hardware/Software sections and you'll find we're not all pretentious, closed minded [insert appropriate expletive]. :)

This post just reinforces my theory.

My PC runs @ 3.6ghz ( read post's correctly)

My PC is not what you call overpriced.I suggest you do some research on PC hardware.

I can use both but MAC users are just a pain in the **** in my experience.

Can you used Avid on a mac? It's probably the most used video editing software in the industry.

I studied AVID at degree level using macs.

It is one of the industry standards.

However this didn't make me enjoy working on them.

I did my final project on my home PC after clearing with the head of department that I was being marked on the final production not the software I was using.

My PC was faster than the university computers so therefore I could get more done.

Not another of these threads, we get the point you don't like them!

You don't have to tell everyone though

Everyone uses their own tool to do something, it's just a different combination of hardware/software man if that gets to you the OP is a very sad individual.

My laptop cost £350, there's nothing it can't do that my friend's £700 MacBook can. The build quality of the MB is better, I'll admit that, but other than that I don't know why you would spend the extra money.

The most irritating thing on the MacBook by far, though, is not being able to tap the touchpad to click on things. That really annoys me.
