Why do I hate apple?

..because it sucks? ;)

No, seriously.. I haven't got the time to muck about compiling and farting around in Terminal, plus I haven't found a build that's as nice to use as OS X.

You don't have to fart around in terminal windows and compile software with any modern Linux distribution. Sure, you *can* if you want to, to maybe install an application which doesn't have a binary available for your distribution but that's no different to compiling a program from source in a terminal window on a Mac.

Mac doesn't crash, pc doesn't crash
Mac limited software and choice, pc ultimate software and choice
Mac can't play games, pc plays games
Mac look great, standard pc's look crap, but if you build your own and spend some money on a case look great
Mac overpriced, pc priced well

Could probably go on for ever, I've used pc's and macs.
neither crash, both work well, ones overpriced and has limited software/games.

that sums it up for me tbh, i had an argument with my daughters school as they all got given a mac to use and are only been tought on macs at school now
nearly every company uses windows imo there stupid

LOL Jobs is quite possibly the master of passing off everything apple does as some type of technoligical breakthrough.

Jobs- "This screens 1 tenth of an inch thinner"

Jobs worshippers- "WOO STEVE STEVE STEVE STEVE WOOOO"

Jobs- "This new usb hub is amazing!"

Jobs worshippers- "WOO STEVE STEVE STEVE STEVE WOOOO"

Jobs- "You're all idiots"

Jobs worshippers- "WOO STEVE STEVE STEVE STEVE WOOOO"

I swear to god this guy could come take a dump and come onstage and pass his method of taking a dump as some massive breakthrough and the muppets in the audience would start chanting for him.

No matter what apple come out with its "amazing and creative and industry first" bla bla bla. And some mac owners buy into this bs and feel theyre somehow above everyone. Wacthing those macworld conferences is truely a cringeworthy experience to see what that lot think is so amazing.

They hardly play any games due to them having absolute **** graphics cards, and an operating system that won't run them means having to buy one that will. In which case you may as well have just install osx on your pc anyway.

Mine plays loads of games - I have an 8600GT. Might not be top of the range, but then it is a laptop.

Thats Steve Jobs, who the hell is Steve Jobbs?

yeah, because that extra 'b' makes the name illegible, doesn't it?

lol funny, and kinda true, but it seems to me to be the same with mobile phones aswell, nowadays most phones more or less do the same thing, but people buy new ones costing hundreds, as if there gonna be so much better than there old one, there just like thinner or summit. that annoys me.

Yay, another Mac v PC fight... which I'm terribly late for, sorry.

I'm a Mac user myself but as far as I'm concerned, if you cant figure out or decide which platform suits your needs best then you shouldnt be allowed to use a computer at all. Macs are good for some people, PCs are better for others. Those that whine about the 'other' one are rather blinkered and close minded in my opinion.

If you want to join two bits of wood, dont whinge about hammers and screwdrivers, decide which way you want to do it, go and buy the correct tool and stop moaning.

That is all.

I prefer my MacBook over the two previous Windows laptops. I've had a Dell Latitude D510 and a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1010, both were to big to use comfortably, came installed full of crap (especially the Dell  ) and need more maintenance than the MacBook.

My MacBook is silent in operation, runs all the apps I need, and gives me a wonderful lightweight mobile platform for work, play and the Internet (porn!) - All I paid was £650 and Apple gave me a £85 towards an iPod...result!

I love this stupid argument about "freedom" that PCs give. Eh? I can run and almost unlimited range of apps, can play games. What extra freedoms do you Windows people have?

Macs are not overpriced. Macs are well designed, well engineered computers that run a far better OS than PCs. I have used Vista and it blows compared to OS X, crashed a lot more too :p

My PC will be replaced with an iMac when I have the cash. But ig you like PCs and Windows more then you buy a new PC or new parts and tinker away, that's great and your choice. Me? I want something that "just works"

Don't waste your time hating something. Spread some love people!

What happens when your Macs hardware fails, who repairs it? Local shop? Self repair?

Just out of curiosity...

Depends whether its still in warranty or not.

What happens when your TV breaks, or your camera etc... its just the nature of the product.

Geasus this comes up every month at least now lol, still the same old hardcore PC guys lol

and still the same facts:

PC for Gaming and if you dont have silly money to spend on a mac, that is all everything else mac, unless you have tried one of the new decent intel macs you dont know what your missing :p
