Why do people act like this?

short and brief .friend was with a few other friends they got into a bit of a dispute nothing really he got hit round the head with a baseball bat killing him .he was in early twenties.

Whenever I hear about something like this it just gets me really angry, how can people behave like this towards someone else?

I think there are only two ways to deal with people like this:

1. Back off/walk away.
2. Pick the biggest from the group and take him down, not hard if you surprise him and will make the other, smaller ones think twice.

Personally I don't think it's often worth doing 2 and almost any situation, if handled well, can be resolved without the need for violence.

A lot of people in the thread told me to walk away, but they surrounded me then shoved me against the wall, there was no way I could have escaped.

Ah dont worry about it, its good for you brother to see stuff like that... he'll no doubt grow up hating the chav's.

Had same problem a few years or so ago, went to pic's on a date and sum little chav's started throwing stuff (girls and boys)... so i got up sat next to them and said... "once more i'm gona show you what it feels like" they laughed of course and i sat down... on cue they started throwing stuff again, so honest truth i got up walked to them with my my 3/4 full coke, took the lid off .... threw it all over the lot of them, people started clapping, manager came in and threw us out while both me and my date were crying laughing... needless to say my date loved it and i've now married her!!!

Morral of the story if you dont want to deal with them outside.... do something to get thrown out!

Not where they are from. And it's not just the cinema, if you've ever been to an African church you'll see it there too. It's perfectly acceptable cultural behaviour.

Would you go to a Black Baptist church in the USA, or an African Church and start telling people to STFU because they are too loud?? I would hope not!

Well perhaps if he'd gone to the afrocarribean talk/shout and be annoying cinema he'd have been silly to complain. Except he didn't, he went to a cinema in harrow where it is culturally unacceptable to cause a disturbance during the movie.

Also what has this got to do with 'Africa' anyway - these guys could very likely be 3rd generation immigrants - they're essentially British people who happen to have black skin - to bring 'african culture' into this is beyond retarded - I'm assuming that you are deliberately trolling with this faux racism nonsense.

Yes he is trolling, he has been told since to not post any longer in this thread, so just ignore what of his nonsense remains :)

That might be ok if they fight fairly but anyone of them could have been carrying a knife. He also has his little brother to consider, who could have been hurt or watched him get knifed. Unfortunately if he isnt a big person then they were obviously going to be waiting outside for him. He should have just reported them to the cinema people. Getting mouthy with them and telling them to shut up might be whats on most peoples minds but you have to think of what could happen.
