Why don't UKIP learn ?

Really couldn't give a toss. Far more significant things going on than a bit of name calling. Best jump on the bandwagon though.

My point was, it isn't just name calling but pure ignorance of the world - these people want to run the country.

Whilst I'm not of Thai heritage I would be offended if they referred to me like that

Oh don't get me wrong, yes it's idiotic. My slant was towards people who are going to try and blow this up into something it's not.

Could you imagine these clowns having a trade delegation over to the US where they need to sell UK's capabilities in various fields.

Let's assume Barak is president and they call him the n-word or say his parents are from bongo-bongo land do you think we would get preferential treatment at the negotiation table

Wonder how much his wife cost him? what you can get on the internet these days are astounding

My GF is asian and still thought it was great.

Its not PC, but its not terribly offensive.
Indeed.

They are also comedians making a joke at anybody expense (including that of British people). Why on earth people seem to mistake the two aspects - which two key factors come into play.

1. Context.

The context behind what's said is everything, a comedian is making a statement because they are intending to get laughs from the audience.

This is only considered to be offensive when the comedian has a long history of making jokes at the expense of only one race is is notorious for making disparaging comments outside of their comedian routine. Not to mention the tone in which it's communicated.

2. The position.

This one confuses me most, like people think that a comedian is some way holds the same levels of social responsibility as a member of parliament or a member of a political party seeking power.

"I don't think UKIP are a racist party" - The Husband.
The party is not inherently racist, it's foundation was indeed Euroscepticism.

The trouble is any party with a core against immigration is going to attract a notable portion of racists, idiots & xenophobes - not to mention it's policies have lurched somewhat further to the right to appeal to this very demo-graph.

How does that make him racist, please explain.

Did he buy her or did they meet?

Treating a race (and sex - he's also a misogynist) as a commodity to be bought for your pleasure.

I don't 100% agree with what I've written there, but that's the argument.

It's an assumption (a racist one, no less) that he bought her in the first place, though :)

Was that supposed to be a hidden offense? ;)

My wife is from Taiwan, she doesn't let things like this situation bother her, she know's what some people are like and just laughs if it off and if I have pointed this out to her in the past has just told me to not be so sensitive to it.

Absolutely not, although I did realise it after I had posted, I thought better of editing as it makes me look guilty then!

I agree they attract these sorts but UKIP seem very aware of this fact, and have been fairly vocal in distancing themselves from the members who are exposed as the stupid.
Certainly a lot more self acknowledgement and confrontation of the unsavouries in the UKIP ranks than there ever has been in the conservative, or indeed any party.
When you consider the rate at which they have grown I think they are doing very well.
