Why is AMD quiet about black screens on 290x?

Correct settings this time;)

Clocks @1150/1500, no blackscreens.

Pretty damn good averages i reckon.

Seems that way, i ran the benchmark first of all without setting memory to 1500mhz and only had it at 1400. got 74fps i think so there's definitely benefits to overclocking Memory, at least on this.

Actual marine your 2500K plays a much bigger part. Metro2033 benefits massively from an overclocked i7 with HT. If you get an i7, your scores will match Soliders. ;)
Ah yes. I forgot about how CPU demanding Metro is as well. Well, it doesn't matter, as I will be playing this game in 3D sometime later (yea I still haven't played this game yet), and the frame rate seem to be around 35fps+ in the first level when I was testing the 3D (so CPU bottleneck will no longer be an issue, as the limitation would be placed on the graphic instead).

I must say, this game in 3D look amazing.

Yeah i never got round to playing more than the first level. I need to go back to it sometime. I've also got the sequel which im yet to play.

You cant find an exact answer/solution to the black screen problem.Mine runs fine at 1125/1425 at stock volts.Whenever i pump extra voltage into the card it blackscreens.Best benchmark is the TR bench its super fast and extra demanding esp on memory.I can leave the card at stock speeds and give it some volt, and bumm blacksreen. Its on the 9.5 drivers. On the V8 beta i can use extra voltage however and not get blackscreen.I think the main problem here is with the new digital power delivery and i think the software's written to is just not up to 100%.

Did not see any blackscreen for weeks (R290X press sample BIOS).
Very irregular cause it used to blackscreen everytime when GPU Load was high. Today, I'll test the 'blackscreen trigger' - BF4 @ SP Ultra 4xMSAA & 200% Res-Scale, Shanghai-Tower - which could not even run for 10 minutes. If that'll run stable, the blackscreens are probably gone.
Did not change any HW- or SW-Configs though. :)

got my first proper blackscreen today playing cod ghosts, odd as ive been using this gpu for about a month without issues only thing different was afterburner running as I was checking for temps

Aside from a possible faulty card im pretty convinced this is a immature driver issue.

Then i wish they'd bloody grow up and start acting like adults!!:p

Seriously i'm looking forward to the drivers as they progress, more performance, more stability and with mantle on it's way, exciting times i must admit.

Btw Matt did you get my message pal regarding low Physics score? hope it worked bud.
