Why is homeopathy so popular?

Did you even bother to read the link? No? Didn't think so.

Yes, the link to homeopathic arnica use? Care to elaborate on what that has to do with the cream that the person you were calling a moron uses?

I can assure you... it has nothing to do with homeopathy. You are getting the two [homeopathy and herbablism] mixed up.

I guess that is why the wikki arnica page has separate parts for the medicinal useage and homeopathic uses...

Edit:

Mags: Keep on whining dude.

You have some scientific evidence for the efficacy of Arnica? Doesn't seem like there's any out there.

I know a number of GPs who are also practice in homeopathetic stuff. I wouldn't necessarily call these people stupid - they obviously aren't.

Me, I don't know anything about it.

It's pretty simple:

1) Take something that has at best hardly any beneficial effect in any dose.
2) Dilute it to such an extent that none of it is left.
3) Profit.

No, I am not joking. Homeopathic "treatments" are water or inert filler. If you're lucky. If you're unlucky, they're toxic.

They might have some benefit effect as a placebo. As will water or inert filler.

You linked to the section of wikipedia talking about homeopathic preparations. That does not mean all preparations are homeopathic. I have no idea about the effectiveness of the cream, but it is certainly not homeopathy which follow strict rules of preparation.
