Why is it so cold?????

What?

Its been cold for about a week now...before that it wasn't that cold, a hoody and wind breaker were sufficient to keep warm outside..and before that I was surprised at how warm it was compared to the time of year...

Been very mild this winter. Came home from work yesterday and gave the grass a trim it's been growing that much.

because it is February...

Up until now, it has been a very mild winter.

It was 13 degrees on christmas day around here!

-7 on my way to work this morning though.brrrr

;)

A few degrees below 0 is nothing...

I love how people complain how cold UK is, I'm currently on holiday in eastern europe and it's been -20C during day time and -30C during night for the last few days.

It's winter!

We've had relatively mild winters over the past few years hence a lot of people are not use to the sudden coldness.

I remember it use to snow every year around mid January (usually a week after my b'day).

Than again it is 2012.

Why would you have to increase your central heating temperature just because it's colder outside? It will automatically keep the heating on for longer until the internal temperature reaches your desired setting, aren't you now uncomfortably hot?

This is the first I can ever remember having my central heating set to 21c overnight two nights running!

lol I wish I had central heating....

And double glazing....

And a gas fire....

Been wearing my coat for the past week in this house, gas fire got condemned by the landlord and he's apparently sorting me out a new one but he did drop off this archaic electric heater which gives out the heat of a box of matches :D

It's an old old house and tbh i should probably get a move. Meh I hate the cold!

The news made a big fuss of it being "bitterly cold tonight". Couldn't quite understand the big fuss over -10oC as we had that and colder up here last Winter. Then I realised it was because they were talking about London

A few cm of snow in SE UK and suddenly it's compared to Siberia....
