Why is it that I can guzzle down food almost all day and not get fat?

hey dudes, I spend at least an hour a day biking, a bit walking and a fair bit of time on the ol comp listening to music (Sway at da mo).

Its not like I excersize that much but i'm not couch potato. I just wonder sometimes how I can eat so much and not get fat! anyone else the same?

im 5, 11. and weigh just under 11 stone.

Seems that way to me dude. I feel like i eat a lot and i don't seem to get fat or put weight on. I spose i do do a decent amount of exercise.
 
How old are you? I used to eat loads and loads and always stayed around 11 - 11.5 stone. But in this 2nd year at uni its starting to catch up to me and ive gone up to about 13stone (im 5 ft 9 ish), time to do some exercise this summer.

Cereal, two Marks and Spencer caramel bars, two veggie burgers in bread, half a chicago town pizza and wedges, 5 cookies, half an easter egg, one slice of Mr kipling cake and 2 litres of juice.

That sounds like a standard days eating for me, but instead of juice it'd be coke.

Ah, when i was your age i could eat as much as i wanted and it didn't make a difference, it'll prob catch up in a few years if you continue to eat that much and not do too much exercise.
 
you have a high metabolism. This will change when you get older and it will catch up on you during your mid twenties!

Well, for a start it doesn't even look like you get one square meal in. You're also still going through puberty, your body does some weird stuff during it.

What he said^. I used to think I ate heaps. Until last year when I found out what ~2000 kcal actually looked like (I was trying to bulk up). If only I had known better when I was a teenager... I'd probably have grown up a lot more :(
 
Today i ate:

- 0800: Porridge
- 1030: Banana + 1 hobnob
- 1230: Cereal bowl of leftover Jambalaya + 1 mini muffin (normally a sandwich/wrap + crisps + fruit)
- 1430: Slice of cake (normally grapes/apple)
- 2000: Kiev/chips/salad (mostly cook decent meals from scratch but was feeling lazy)

I'm 5'9 and weigh 65kilos. The only exercise i do is cycling to work 3 days a week (takes 5-10mins) and walking. I never seem to put any weight on, not that i really want to. I am worried i'm getting a bit of a belly though! :(

Man i'd be starving all day.

I do a lot of gym though.
 
I was like that till I was 21, at 22 I started getting a damn beer belly, and I'm telling you, it's hard job getting rid of it. You are simply normal :)

Well the reason u dont put on any weight is because you dont eat much! my tropical fish eat more. Hmm im so tempted to have that cappucino muffin in my fridge! oo and a bit more easter egg!
 
Today I ate:

skipped breakfast as i had an exam
A large bowl of cornflakes and weetabix (this was at about 1 oclock)
5 Packets of crisps

3 medium sized potatoes grilled with some oil
half a can of baked beans
400g of Pork Steaks shallow fried

about 2 litres of coke.
 
I have had roast ham/runner beans/carrots etc. and a nutrigrain bar today :p

Oh, and about 2 litres of coke zero/ 1 litre of water.

Played basketball and done weights...
