Why is it that I can guzzle down food almost all day and not get fat?

Weight (see what I did there ;)) until you hit about 22 or so. I was exactly the same, now i got a bit of a tum and developing a double chin :p

What I ate today:

9:50am Breakfast: Pot Noodle (Chicken and Mushroom) + Sainsburys Blue Bolt
11:15ish-am: Banana
1:30pm: Chicken Cottage - Cottage Wrap (regular not spicy) Meal - Large Pepsi and frys.
3pm: Apple
4:30pm: 2 Krispy Kreme donuts. Got the strawberry filling one before anyone else followed by the apple and cinnamon.
7:30pm: Large home made spag bol followed by slice of chocolate cake. Accompanied by a pint of coke.

I honestly have no idea why I am putting weight on tho :confused:
 
Could be down to two things, you don't eat as much as you think you do (is what you eat today what you usually eat?). Also, I found when I was your age (young wippersnapper) that when I was eating lots of crap I was still skinny, when I was 15/16 I was still under 60kg at ~5ft 8. It's because what I was eating was rubbish, eat lots of meat and foul, wholemeal bread, porridge, rice, fruit and veg etc.

When I was doing a bulk recently I would eat along these lines:

30g whey in milk added to museli
Chicken and salad sandwhich
Beef and salad sandwhich
Pasta, tomato sauce with chicken/ lean mince
Beef and rice
30g whey in milk

I'd also have 50g of whey and 50g of oats in milk for a post workout shake.

Of course it wasn't like that day in day out, that's just an example of how much I would try to eat.

It is probably partly to do with what you are eating as much as the amount. Mostly junk and sugar, no square meals as another poster said.
 
usually it would be something like _

Muffin
Peanut butter sandwich, Crisps, Juice

Choc bar

Fish fingers, peas, carrots and boiled patatos.

Slice of cake

Choc bar

Milk + biscuits
 
Ok it was sarcasm - I know why I am getting fat. In my defence our manager doesnt buy Krispy Kreme very often any more :( Special occasion today tho, i'd been working from Sunday evening to Tuesday morning and had a total of around 5 hours sleep. Bloody Netapp exploded at weekend :(

I forgot to mention 2grams of Vitamin C, Cod Liver oil tablet and 2 Ibuprofen. Working in the city rawks tbh.

It was worse when they newly opened the Krispy Kreme place at Holborn as we were buying 2 dozen a day for a 6 - 8 man team (BOGOF offer with the 2nd box being plain ring ones).

Edit: Oh and anyone that wants to check up on me can ask Garp :p (who is joining our team in about a month. Congrats to him!)
 
Im 6ft 2, 16 and weigh almost 14 stone but im not fat but quite well built although i hardly do any weights just play sports a heck of a lot and i eat loads and never seem to put it on.
 
I eat loads and weigh in just over 8stone @ 5'8.

I ate today: large bowl of branflakes. 2 bacon butties with butter, lettace, tomato and mayonaise. 2 cakes, cheese mini chedders, hola hoops, large serving of fish pie. And just had a choclate tart.

eating loads is never the problem if A, its healthy, or B you work bloody hard to burn off calories
 
7-9am - portage or two bowls of cereal (Whole fat milk of course)
9-11am - A litre of water
11am- 2pm – Lunch is a couple of sandwiches, fruit, chocolate bar and a litre of orange/apple juice (Mango if it’s on offer)
5-8pm Dinner which is vegetables, rice and whatever meat I fancy that day.
8pm+ is pudding which is either Greek yoghurt, mango and ice-cream or lemon custard tarts.

Oh then I’ll finish off the milk before bed.

Funny thing is I stop working out.. I lose weight!!!
I Have to struggle to stay over 10stone but my dad was the same at my age and so was my granddad.

I would be suprised if that was more than 2500 calories.
 
Today i have eaten:

1400: A chicken salad sandwich
1800: Sweet and sour chicken and rice.
Chocolate dougnut (yum!)

And I am a fat ****!

I usually have two 'meals' a day and a bag of crisps/snack type thing in the evening. Can't actually afford much more when I'm at uni so i just don't bother, seems to have had an adverse effect on me!
 
Try making batches of pasta, onions, garlic and tins of tomatoes are cheap as hell aswell as pasta. Could add in browned mince beef if you want some meat.
 
Today I ate:

6 eggs (spinach omlette) + bowl of oatmeal + banana
2 chicken breasts + salad + various nuts
very large bowl of tuna pasta salad
protein shake (oats, full milk, whey protein, 2 banana's, 2 apples, large dollop of peanut butter)
steak and sweet potato + salad + apple pie for pudding
various fruit snacks throughout the day

I often eat quite a lot more than this a day. Doesn't sound like you eat that much to me, and Im not fat at all either. Wait till you stop growing and all that filth you eat starts making you a lard arse :p
