So for you value is now paramount, not top performance?
It is for all Intel fans, value is best - so pair that 10400f with rtx3090 sli lmao
This is more what a gamer would stand to gain with a 3080 in paying double for a 5600X over a 11400F.
Yeah there is no reason to buy high end Intel right now.Fair - but this also amplifies the tragedy that is the higher-end 11 series family.
Essentially the 10400f/11400f are an 8700k, which came out at the end of 2017, albeit actual volume stock not available until 2018 Q1 unless you wanted to pay scalped prices.
Back then if you wanted the best you had to pay for it, now I'm pretty sure the 5600x/5800x etc. are all indeed faster than the 8700K, so the same thing should apply, if your want the best you have to pay for it. Otherwise no one would have recommended an 8700K over an R5 2600 at ~£150, yet they did. Are they good value, that is up to the buyer, but the 8700k was in the same boat at the time yet still was highly recommend.
