Why soo cheap

15 amps on the 12v+, is that enough?
Ill list the rest aswell.

3.3v+ 28A
+5v 30A
-5v 0.5A
-12v 0.8A
+5VSB 2A

Its a Levicom PSU, so I guess that rates it as "unbranded" (although has never given me problems in 3 years)

Thanks for your help by the way :)

I would be 95% sure its your psu, 15amps is nothing really, especially when you have an overclocked dual core sucking on it, can you try testing the card in another pc or get hold of another psu for testing.

Actually, in Systool the 12v reports as 12.5v, whether that makes a difference..

Anyway, going to go to a mates house and try it on his system, see what that is like.

Whats a good brand to get then? Needs to be quiet too.

Thanks again.

Seasonic, Enermax, Tagan, The more I think about it mate I would say I am 100% sure its that psu, what you could do is underclock your X2 for the meantime, put it back to stock volts and run it at its lowest multi, and then try loading up the drivers, I bet that dual core is kaning on your supply.

Thanks guys, seen a Antec Truepower 480w for sale for 25quid, will this do the job, its rated to 28A on the 12v line.

Ive lowered everything back to stock allready, ruddy computers! :p

Thanks mate :)

Was planning on upgrading the PSU soon anyway, just thought this card would be ok on it for a while.

Think Ive brought this thread far enough off topic now!

Whoevers thinking about this card, dont not get it based on my problems as its prob the PSU.

HI, well its working fine on this PC, drivers installed, his is only a 350w psu but its 18a on the 12v+

Sorry again to the opening poster, it looks like a good card, will run some tests to make up for trashing the thread :D

Usual Suspect said:
another company begining with A and ending in A (as not to get in trouble) sells what seems to be the exact same card at :-

Powercolor Radeon X800GTO 256M DDR3 256bit, PCI-E, ATI, DVI-I, TV-OUT Mfr# R43CC-OD3

£87.95 exc, £103.34 inc

?

Blimey didnt realise Asda sold graphic cards ;)

So, anyone else got one of these cards?

I know I said it probs wont unlock/mod but has anyone got any further progress? If its a r430 core but doesnt have the correct bits in ATI Tool as shown below:

http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpost.php?p=34657&postcount=1

I remember the last letter required had at least E not F

Also, whats with the Hynix memory and what speed is it rated to? Cant find anything on the net relating to this memory, thought all cards used Samsung mem.

EDIT: actually, this post below mentions Hynix memory but only 2.8ns stuff.

Wont be getting a PSU til Mon/Tue to fully test the card and its overclocking limits, although I may take off the HS/fan to double check the core number.

Nice scores, Mine should be here Monday, only running a X600 at the moment so it should be a nice bump in performance, Just had a stick of ram turn up this morning dead on arrival  It should tell you what core it is in ATI-Tool, the other way to find out is if it overclocks past 460 on the core it defiantly isnt a 430 :p

Morning mate, unlucky on the RAM, new or used stuff? Its a PITA when you are looking forward to getting new gear and find out somethings wrong with it or your setup.

Card looks good, didnt realise you had ordered one too. 3dmark05 was a bit of a slideshow, but i guess thats the way with these things, 03 was about the same for me on the 9500 Pro. Still, hopefully it can overclock and will play games well :) I still think something wasnt set right for the testing, as some of the results for 01 were slower than on my older rig

Well, ATITool stated its R430 core, so I'm trawling through some forums to see what I can find out about it. I know they could potentially be XL's but need to find out if its a BIOS lock or laser cut (where would it be cut out of interest??)

Cant test in ATI tool until Monday night/Tuesday once I can get drivers installed for it, so you may know before me :p

I may plug it back in and get the "fuses" data from ATI tool for it and post it in techpowerup to see if any one there can help out. Will also check the HSF tonight (at work now) to see if i can remove it easily and check the core details.

Hi Mate,

The ram was new so thats quite a nightmare, I have been through a bad patch with money over the last few months so was looking forward to upgrading from 512mb ram + X600pro to 1gb ram + X800GTO :p lets just hope I can get the ram swapped easy enough.

As for the card, im not sure where it would be locked, I have read through a lot of threads also and the word is they are X800GTO16 or X800XL cores with 4 pipes hard locked, I should be able to get hold of a pci-card, so I may try flashing it with a GTO16 bios, if it fails I can use the pci card to flash it back.
