Why still no ATI 9.1

I guess maybe I am. I was always under the impression that NVIdia drivers come out a couple every month, including the betas.

Reason why they have not been released is because they found out that one update was not working properly, not sure which one but its one of the major updates so they pulled it back to do further work on it. Apparently 9.1 is a big release so they want to make sure everything is working fine. Possibly might see it on Wednesday. Heard this off a beta tester but NDA restricted any further information.

Also you will probably not see it "leaked" early either as ATI are keeping a close eye on the release this time.
Perhaps because of all the critisicm over 8.10 to 8.12 (pre hotfix).

Sure I read a thread over on Guru3d where the official bod was saying that they were going to be out later this month as they had a couple of big issues they were addressing that were taking time.

ALWAYS 1920x1080i @60Hz in DirectX 10 games
ATI out to 1080p HDTV and dx10 still messes up!!!!

No, they never have.

4850s in CF and 4870X2 all ran games on my secondary (1920x1080, Sony 40X3000) with zero issues.

Like most if not all "ATi driver problems" probably something elsewhere in your system.

as I said there is no issue, I run stalker in 1900x1200 and with DX10.1. those people have other issues, probably there display doesnt support 1080p if they are running 1080i or they are using wrong connectors, etc...

FYI 1080p is a lower resolution than 1200p

I know both of those things. The issue is not:
Running 1080p

The issue is running 1080p in DX10. It works in DX9, and DX10 works in other resolutions.
4870 x2 black bar problem w/dx10 & 1920x1080 (help please)

i am using it as many others and have no problem, so it's not ATI issue. their problem is somewhere else. it's just like those that say it's vista fault, in most cases it is simply not the case. just misinformed who want to rant.

stop trolling anyway you are the one who was on about nvidia releasing drivers more frequently than ati.

PS why you even on this thread you are using a8800gtx so what do you possibly care about 9.1?
