Why still no ATI 9.1

it means that DX10 is bein made multi threaded at a driver level and you will now get a boost if u have a dual core and even more of a boost if u have a quad
 
lol, if those benchmarks are true is that showing a large gain with the 4870x2 with the drivers or not, tbh I haven't kept up on just how close the two cards are officially lately.

But it would be funny if new drivers gave the 4870x2 a semi official lead in a whole bunch of titles which those benchmarks suggest.


But why the heck are people so freaking concerned over new drivers and constantly talking about if they'll actually be out in January and what they will have to be called.

IT doesn't matter what they are called, or when they come out, they'll be out when they are, and they'll be called what they are called, it makes no difference.

Would you be happier they were out now, and had a major bug in, or come out in 5 days, are called Cat 2.2's and work great?
 
Well there already ''late''.

They have also been sort of hyped (atleast by the community), considering how close ATi and Nvidia cards are in there respective price points and performance (most interestingly the 4870x2 and GTX 295), it be interesting if ATi could unseat Nvida so quickly after there new flagship released.
