it is the removal of PS2 support that sucks, BUT regardless its worth it's price tag. Linux doesnt bother me in the slightest, it was used by the niche market.
Why still so expensive?!!

Indeed, But if it was still there it would be a fantastic bonus! The re release of the classics somewhat makes up for it though, and I do wonder, if compatibility did exist, would the HD remakes have surfaced?
People can say the same about Blu Ray though, as a gaming machine the PS3 is overpriced still considering the competition.
Out of interest why have you not bought one, yet tell others its worth the price?

Because it's still £240 and I run a household with bills to pay. 
I do want one, but unfortunately money is a tiny bit tight.
And I disagree about Bluray being niche. Niche and new are different, Bluray is new tech that's come around with the birth of HD screens. So they compliment one another.

Was more aimed at the ain't bothered about it comment, and yes it probably still is a niche market compared to DVD.....personally I don't care much for movies so all blu ray gives me is slower loading times
My bro in law got one for xmas, and we linked it up to my 42" 1080p tv but I must say I was very disappointed with the graphics. I was expecting 360 killing graphics, no jaggies etc but it looked identical to the 360.
Perhaps my expectations were too high. I also don't use bluray, but I still find myself wanting one.It is purely the price putting me off
Try playing uncharted 2 and Killzone and then let me know if you're disappointed. Those 2 games are miles better looking than any game on the 360.
Just play Uncharted 2 for the gameplay nevermind the graphics and i wouldn't say they are miles better than any game on the 360.
Just put my 3 month old slim on the bay, totally underwhelmed with it and its exclusives, had a 360 for years, got the slim as a free gift with the mrs' mobile
yes, it upscales dvds nice, but i always watch 1080p mkv's on my htpc, i dont buy blue ray films, got half way through uncharted and its nothing more than a poor mans tomb raider, trying to add credit to the psn account from a credit card, details dont verify! every time, have to keep buying 20 quid card from websites, playing final fantasy ix from the store, my god, it was hurting my eyes, overall, I just dont think the ps3 is worth having, if final fantasy versus 13 was coming in the next 4 months i'd hang on to it, but theres no way that is happening, 360 for me all the way

Oh I would, I would put uncharterererered 2 up there as the best put together game this gen. for both Looks and direction!
Also i really do wish Versus would hury the hell up, I'm dying to sink my teeth into it

I agree it is a great game and very good graphics, But wouldn't classify it as "Miles" better.

Tbh Uncharded is the one of the best franchises of this generation. While it clearly takes inspiration from it, I'm not sure in which way it's a "poor mans" version exactly? It far outdoes all of this gens Tomb Raider games on story, graphics and gameplay, and they weren't exactly slouches.
