The PS3 pad is older and therefore Ergonomically out-dated
While the PS3 pad has pathetic ergonomics that statement simple isn't true. Age (especially considering just a 10 year old design) doesn't mean its ergonomics are flawed.

Careful dude, thats bordering on racism and could offend any Japanese member's we have here.
I know you meant it in a light hearted manner but just saying...

V1N.
does anyone know if a 3rd party 360 styled controller will be made for the ps3?
stuff
You can get used to poor ergonomics, it doesn't mean you should have to work around it.
stuff
Well, I dunno what to say... the original dual shock was OK on the PS1?
The DS2 was OK on the PS2? I don't remember reading so many (or any) complaints about the ergonomics then.. now the same design apparently is poor?
But yes, after using one since the PS1, I guess I am used to it, and it certainly doesn't seem to affect me adversely, I don't suffer any pain, or other problems while using one.
V1N.
I will eat my underpants if anyone gets offended at that, it was a joke. I'm Japanese!
I've not been discussing personal preference, merely the fact that the 360 controller has far superiour ergonomics. That is not debatable, and is not down to personal preference.
The DS2 design is fine apart from the analogue stick placement. It's not like it's a brand new revelation either, controllers have been doing it for ages, the Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast and even the N64 controller had better left stick placement.
It's pretty inexcusable.
No you don't get it, it has 'far superiour ergonomics' in your opinion, not everyones.
You don't understand the term ergonomics. It's not "Comfort" it's the study and design of products to fit around the average human body.
I understand what Ergonomics is, but can you please show me where the proof is that the 360 pad is more Ergonomical than the PS3 pad?
