Wide enough for ya?

I sit on my couch when I use my PC for internet or for games. I put my CRT on a TV stand in front of me, and my mouse on the couch to my right, and the keyboard on my lap. 3 monitors would not fit on the TV stand, though. I wonder how I could set up the 3 monitors but still be able to play PC games while seated on the couch? Maybe I could buy a really wide TV stand and put the 3 monitors on that.

I just prefer to pretend that I am playing a console game, not playing a game at a workstation, which is uncomfortable.

get a comfy computer chair?

Eyefinity is the only reason I regret going SLI, since my board doesnt support xfire, meaning I would have to downgrade in graphics power in order to get it, at teh same time Id also have to shell out for 2 more 30"s as it doesnt support main monitor in landscape with tehe side ones in portrait (could then use my other monitors that I already have).

10.3 contains bezel management.

However, you need 3 identical screens. I.e, 2x u2410 + 1x 2407, will not work but 3x u2410 will.

Stupid question time but why 3 identical screens? Surely you just tell it the size of the bezal? In the example of 2x u2410 + 1x 2407 the 2407 could go in the middle with the u2410's on the end, the bezel size may be different but its going to be the same both ends so just need to know the total width of the bezels combined and it would work? As long as screens match up size wise shouldnt be a problem?

The 24 I have isnt made anymore, was counting on buying 2 more with same dimensions and using them but if thats not going to work will be buying 3 instead

I would have thought one 30" monitor at 2560 x 1600 would provide a better experience, those triple monitor set-ups and curved screens don't look very tall, for example in dirt 2, you cant see very far ahead
My tiny 24" screen is 1200 and in fps games like Bad Company 2 I'm forever having to look up and down, games like Diablo 3 would have similar problems. be like playing on a 17" CRT.

There's always portrait mode.

30" is going to display the same height as any other monitor, itll just appear bigger. Youd need to change the FOV etc and that would skew the aspect ratio.

I use a 30" and a 22" at home, and 5 17" plus a 15" lappy at work (synergy) and tbh, desktop wise, I can say that I dont notice the bezels much, but I much prefer my home set up to use. Havent been able to try gaming as the work pc's only have a 7600 or some **** card in them. I'd imagine itd be better though, since I love my 30" (12ms) over my 22" (2ms) for gaming because the extra size means it goes into peripheral vision, and the immersion is stupidly more. Ideally, id like 5 more, and the GPU power to run it, but thats beyond even my stupidity to afford.
