Wii: Manhunt 2 - Withdrawn

does get me how games can get banned, yet films with very sickening and in depth deaths and murders such as the saw films, are perfectly fine

there are so many games where you kill people/things for no apparant reason, and without it being a driving/sport game i think its difficult to find a game where you dont have to kill something to gain points or whatever

yes, the deaths and murders in manhunt are a little more graphic and based more around things people would actually be able to commit, but you need to be seriously gone in the head to suddenly have the desire to go out and re-enact it

I think the reason they banned Manhunt is because your sole objective is purely to kill people in brutal ways and you don't have a choice in the matter where as other games like GTA you don't have to run everyone over, it's up to you. Also gory films don't get banned because you aren't interacting with it. The censors must have been pretty shocked at the game to ban it.

I cant understand why quite a few on here are so bemused by the BBFC decision to ban this, the reasons they've given in the OP's article seem completely well thought out and reasonable to me?
