Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Yeah im not sure why people think there will be a huge influx tomorrow.....as far as im concerned the game is fully released and the whole 3 day head start is just marketing gumpf....most players that want to play this game will be playing it already.
 
That is exactly what I say! When they offer a head start it should be the people who where in the closed beta and such. Not every under the sun who wants to play it.

I see it as I bought the game ready to play on the Saturday gone which in my head means the release of the game, because so far I haven't come across any problems....(touch wood)
 
Part of it is probably that with the initial teething problems in every MMO they can get on top of most of them during headstart, then once the "official" launch day arrives they can say it's been a great launch and pretend the headstart issues never happened.
 
Got stung hard last night on Hazak! Took around 4 hours to get in due to the queue. Entered the queue for a cheeky pvp match, and the client crashed upon entry! :p Sad to see the issue hasn't been addressed in today's patch, and it's a gamble with the queues in this state. One crash and then that's it for the evening.
 
You can log straight back in within 10 minutes if you crash, either that was one long crash or you are exaggerating.

Well that's something else buggered then as I was dumped back in the queue. Exaggerating what exactly? It's a known issue regarding the client crashing upon pvp entry.
 
Anyone having trouble viewing the official forums with firefox? I keep getting white pages and have to go back to make it show again. I've got the latest version and cleared the cache. Not interested in using Chrome or IE so please don't suggest it :)

IE does it as well on my PC.

It does this for me also, however i just put it down to their servers being overloaded.
 
Well this is the first time in about 12 years where I have came in to a MMO completely blind. I've almost always played in beta events and did a bucket load of research.

It's certainly making for an interesting experience today :)

Since you dont know much about the game and are coming in blind what are your thoughts? would be interesting to hear what you think since you wont be biased to other games and what not

Edit: sorry I am not saying you are actually blind!

Same here really, not been reading anything about it or watching videos so it's all new. I'm enjoying it at the moment, just trying to learn and read as much as I can as I go along.

Noob question - what are the green circles that I keep seeing radiating away from my character?
 
Decided to give the game another go and at around £30 its not a bad deal. So what's the memo, have we got decently sized ocuk guild, which server and faction? Or people are just going for their own thing?
