Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Bit cheeky here but i'm not entirely sure that i want to start my MMO addiction back up, its been a few years since i was last glued to a game for days at a time but Wildstar is really drawing me in.

Is there any kind soul out there that would be willing to send me over a guest pass so that i can see if im ready to ignore friends and family again :)

As promised, I am back to beg/plead for a guest pass. Does anyone have a spare one now that the game has been officially released?

I've been checking out all the YouTube videos and reading forums, but didn't manage to get into beta to give the game a go. After some of the recent MMOs I'd really like to give it a 7 day trial before picking it up.

Can anyone help out?

Pre-ordered directly from NCSoft weeks ago and haven't been emailed a code yet. Suspect everyone else is in the same boat.

Heavy Armor (More forgiving)

Stalker

Medium Armor (Less forgiving)

Spellslinger
Ranged

I haven't found Spellslinger challenging to play. You take a lot of damage if you get hit but your dps is sick.

Can't really judge till level 50 anyway though.

From what i've seen PvE and the in the first 2 tiers of PvP matches they're pretty easy. In the 30-49 PvP bracket it's a whole different story though. You get eaten alive if your not on top of your game.
 
My spellslinger is level 15 now so I haven't got that far in. So far I do find I have to dance around mobs a bit and carefully select my rotation. Get it wrong and it tends to end in a long fight or death.

I am aware that this could be down to me being plain rubbish though :D
 
Looking through everything it looks like the esper would be class i would most probably go with.

For anyone playing that class how are feeling it plays, enjoyable?
 
good to hear the 'mage' like class has always been a preference for (dont like getting my hands dirty :)) with the option to go down a healing route as well makes it very appealing.

I liked it in beta but it will depend on your preferences. In PvP you pretty much have to go the melee route with it and in PvE raiding there were a lot of complaints on the forum that it's rotation was really boring. It does have changes coming though, one of the devs posted a few times that they were working on it but they wouldn't be in until after launch.

Personally i found it quite fun.
 
Servers are back up.

Just created an Exile Mordesh Warrior on Ravenous, no longer foreveralone as dominion :p Going to get the dominion spellslinger to 50 first though as starter areas will probably be chocka block now and already at 40 on it anyway.
 
Makes sense I suppose focus on the paying customer and get those servers right them first then look to try and hook in new people with the guest passes.

Still I want to create a weird little demented space raccoon :)
 
Getting invalid account name now when I try to log on. Does this mean I have to wait for my physical copy to arrive and put that code in or should I still be able to play with the headstart code?

It's ok, I'm in now. There's a 3 day grace for you to put your code in after the headstart has finished just in case anyone else needs to know.
