Not exactly, it's up to site owners and/or moderators to clean up people talking about a beta in nda when they should not be. They can get in trouble for it, or at least asked to remove it first anyway.
Also the medical advise thing, people can't even talk about medical conditions, they just outright close threads, they're worried it can come back to them, so they should for this.

I think if any one wrote a very detailed opinion/review of Wildstar, and posted it on here, it would get deleted.

But saying stuff like "damn it's good" and "new patch tomo, lots of new stuff perhaps" I think is ok (seems mods think that too).

And I think if anything Carbine/NCSoft would be ok with that as it is, in essence, free advertising.

Plus there is a lot of information available already which is fine to be discussed.

This, the kids are just annoyed as they not in beta, I have not seen anything including what I have said that's gives any game mechanics away.

As to the mods, they do what's required, I highly doubt it's personnel, they just doing and rightly so what's best for ocuk.

Developers dont care if people say they are in a beta, its everything else they are hot on- hell why do you think there are watermarks to prevent screenshots from being posted. I remember going over the EULA of the latest beta I got into and cant remember there beng anything that prevented me from confirming if I was in. You'll have to point me at the bit that did

Wait what? Ofc it's about the NDA, that's the agreements that stipulates what you are and aren't allowed to do/say.

If it is not stated in the NDA it means that the developer doesn't have a comment and that you can deal with it as you see fit.

Lot of people at the start of this thread saying /yawn and "oh look another MMO".

I think what we're really all fed up with is anothing high-fantasy MMO, set in the middle/dark ages, with orcs, trolls, elves, etc. And fighting oversized wild animals.

You don't see people saying /yawn, another EvE... because there isn't one

I do think MMO devs need a shot in the arm of imagination. Why keep going for high fantasy, swords and scorcery?

First this is not really a fantasy game, but the reason you see so many is two fold
A) people like them, the vast majority I mean.
B) tried and trusted formula that still works.

It would be cool to have an MMO where your character is a robot. When you start, your robot is small and pathetic, but as you level you get new parts (instead of armour), so when you're top level and decked out in end game gear you look bigger, meaner, more advanced and dangerous.

No m8 being successful counts in money and all the proper ones have made a bucket load, maybe not the zillions they expected, but still a decent profit.

So simply true, your personal feeling to what is successful does not count, yes a few have failed but that's not because they were fantasy, it's because they were just very poor.

Added, just had a quick look even the ones I thought had failed still made around a 100 million.

Wildstar is a sci-fi mmo and if anything set in the future. I would not call it fantasy. There are no orcs, no elves and no trolls (internet trolls don't count

).

Also it is hi-tech; there are no swords and no sorcery.

I was just looking at the screenshots on page 1 of this thread

There's a guy with sword+shield hacking at a large troll-looking thing.

Admittedly there is also a guy with a gun and a missile launching robot.

So I guess it's more like Final Fantasy than high fantasy

It's more Wild West sci-fy than anything fantasy, very hard pushed to put this game in a fantasy role.

It's only the warrior that uses the sword type weapon, but it's not a sword like any other, ..he also carries a cannon on his arm so ....

As to this game being the next big thing ...... Would take good breathing lessons.

..one thing that will hurt this game is the one thing they brag about having only 40 man top tier raids, this is a huge mistake.
I read people comments on how great they are/were and I think wtf, did you even take part, they a pain to sort a pain to run, a time sink like no other that creates more arguments than achievements, rose tinted glass at it strongest!

Yes we will run them as that's there is, but all I can say is thank god we have established raid leaders so that all I have to do is turn up, and whinge at him like the rest us
