Yeah DPS need to take a much more active role in keeping themselves alive in this game!

You cannot stand in the telegraphs and expect the healer to save you, those things are bright and red for a reason! Also DPS need to be much more aware of their positioning in relation to the healer, with few targetted heals in the game the healer needs to be able to see you and reach you with his telegraphs!

Sounds like you just had some lame DPS's in that one marty!

OMG THT WAS YOOUUU. Where you the chau, i was just plodding on and BAM you just turned around on me haha. Thing is i suck pvp i just cant get away with it, i am in pve tank gear all the time so i serpose tht dosnt help.
 
Sort of - I don't really need to do the adventures again (although arguably I'm missing 1 item) but I'm happy to help. Just been a bit fed up waiting for people to get to 50, along with the excessive amount of tanks we have (as I've mentioned before), making it difficult to get motivated. If people are mostly ready now though then I'll be looking forward to get logged back on and running dungeons etc.

Some really great changes coming to Espers, think they already a lot stronger than people realise, can almost see them becoming top in PvP now, good self heals with some serious DPs
 
There are changes to Medic but saw it this morning at home and at work now so can't link it.

Couldn't tell you what they were! Too busy feeling gutted about the slinger nerfs :( lol
 
On a brighter note I managed to climb up the ratings in RBG's last night :)

Got a good guild group going and we went 6 - 0 before we all got a bit tired I think and had 2 losses where we called it quits.

Almost at 1500 rating now! Can't wait for the 1500 gear :D
 
I am trying to get my warrior levelled up for PvP but its taking forever I want my Medic to be PvE I have Drumunsta coming round tonight so we will be running Vet Adventures and May even try the Vet Drungeon

We will see how we get on but we will be on TeamSpeak also
 
I think I managed to get some Medic Notes, can anyone confirm that these are correct? I am not sure on the 'Reboot' buff as I Just let their shield run empty and still manage to heal ok.

I rarely find myself struggling to heal because I always used the 'Reboot' Correctly and managed my focus perfectly fine.

MEDIC

DPS

Gamma Rays
Range will be increase to 20m from 17.5
  • Target count will be increased to 3 from 1
  • The T4 will reduce GR’s cast time by .5 seconds each cast and will reset after every 3 casts (1.25 seconds, .75 seconds, .25 seconds)
  • The T8 will be updated so that having 1 or 2 beams miss or be deflected will still grant a chance to generate an Actuator

Quantum Cascade.
  • The size of the second tick will be increased by 25% and the third/fourth ticks by 50%.

Atomize
  • This will become castable while casting other spells and will have a 100% chance to generate an Acuator.

Healer

Reboot AMP
  • This will be modified to trigger on targets below 30% Shield rather than with zero shield.

Dual Shock
  • Like Atomize this will also become castable while casting.

AoE Healing and Interrupt Armor
Specific portions of the Medic’s AoE healing kit are currently over-turned and will be adjusted. Additionally, the durations of Interrupt Armor are going to be reduced across the board and the Medic will start to see these changes first. (Source)

I am yes, I couldn't see the medic changes posted anywhere else or in the big patch notes posted yesterday so figured it was either another patch or lots were missing.
 
Yeah I am trying to find a the link I used because it was broken down into the different classes, but I think My I.T Department have blocked me out of it now :(
 
These class balancing changes aren't on live patch notes guys, they are changes being put on the PTR so it is only on the PTR patch notes.

But yes Marty, those look like the notes I saw on the official forums this morning. I didn't look for long at the Medic bit so if anything is different I wouldn't notice, but they definitely look like them.

The problem with reboot was when you had tanks that would regen a small portion of shield right before the heal landed, making it much more ineffecient when healing them, instead of an 8k shield heal you'd get 3k etc. This one removes that small part of RNG and makes it much more reliant for the hugh shield heal that medics are famous for.
Focus is still a small issue if you're not running the recovery rune set as it will go down quite fast in dungeon encounters, especially if dps keep standing in the red zones! For adventures though Foucs recovery isn't particularly needed as you can faceroll heal these and still come out with 50%+ focus (not withstanding some annoying boss encounters in Siege) :p

Also if you haven't already get that 2-step authenticator on your account! I put it off and managed to get my account comprimised this week somehow and currently in the process of restoring all my lovely epix. The customer support where spot-on though when i dealt with them, really fast response time which is refreshing for an MMO.

Tomorrow I'll be trying to do the silver runs on Skullcano and Swordmaiden, should be fun....and frustrating!
