Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

I'd love to know how I got hacked when I use the authenticator and a coded password that is literally complete nonsense........Well got my account back but they wrecked my characters progression by running all over the world opening the map and the team took 20 days to restore my account and then 10 days to tell me no they can't reset my map exploration and money......because they have so many hacked accounts. I asked for my trial period back as it took 30 days to restore from the day 2 hack I didn't play much except that 36 hour stint at the start after which I couldn't log in.

Terrible customer service! Pray you do not get hacked as its 30 days to get access back. Should get a reply in 10-20 days saying sorry we can't reset your trial.

Nothing can feel more ghost town than WOW. I don't think I've seen someone chat in General for years.

Seriously? You must be on a low population server then, and when I say low population, I mean you must be the only player in your faction. WoW is still the juggernaut it always was; the juggernaut that lesser MMOs aspire to be.

I stopped playing WildStar a week after release as I didn't enjoy it, but I still keep an eye on this thread to see if there are any major changes or updates to the game.

Your comment irked me.

Then thats your servers problem, I'm on the highest population server for alliance and there is so many people in stormwind that I have to go to the panda city its so laggy.

I am still finding leveling so slow, I'm guessing it is fastest to just ignore the crap and get on with the main story/world/area quests. I hate leaving exclamation marks everywhere :O

Huge amounts of talk on reddit, other forums, streamers and people i know who plays this.

Its like a ghost town.

Link? :)

Don't see it myself, cities are always busy with plenty of people running around. Even had to disable nameplates in cities as it can get to be a real pain to find npcs some times.
The daily zones are always bustling with activity and plenty of world PvP if you fancy it there (alas, I'm a medic so 99% of the time I don't fancy it in my 'dps' spec but the dominion seem to feel otherwise...)
While it may not seem as populated in zones as some other games this is mainly down to instancing, so if you do get a quiet instance, or are on a quiet server in general, then sure you may have periods where you don't run across someone for a few minutes.

Just started levelling an Engineer alt, only up to level 13 at the moment but enjoying it so far. From what I've seen at end game their dps is pretty insane so fingers crossed I can make it to 50 in between all the other things I need to do on my medic! First world problems, there's just TOO much to do :(

Definitely losing players by the truck load :( i don't need stats or an article to see it.

I'm on ravenous dominion side and it IS a ghost town.

Ravenous is a low population server though.

I am on that server Dominion side also and don't think it's that bad tbh. Daily zones always have people there and plenty of world pvp going on.

There's always big groups for the 20 man quests that spawn every couple hours.

I started a new character last night and plenty of people in the starter zones as well.

It's not rammed everywhere, but like I say, it's a low population server. I certainly haven't felt like it's a ghost town though, I was duelling loads of people in Illium last night at 1am.

Well Exile main town is always full, tons of players around, yes of course the game has lost players every single mmo out has after the first month you really got to wonder about people’s intelligence.

And no I’m not a blind fan boy as I know the game has loads of issues, but it’s the first game I can see having a healthy long term player base, even if I don’t stay, which unfortunately due to work and the time needed by this game will most likely be the outcome.

But staying or leaving I try to be honest about a game.
WS did not release like most major MMO with a huge fan base or following, but with the difficulty in getting raids done, & the general game play could if they change down to smaller raids be a huge draw for this game.

I have never really being comfortable with the art style, but I got over it.

I think this game has a good chance to build its player base, I also think going F2P would be a boon for this game, it would get much bigger numbers in and they can make loads of money off vanity items, extra slots etc.

I'm sorry a comment about a computer game irked you. Regardless of how many players there are my initial point which you failed to address still stands, nobody talks any more, everyone is so self contained within their own guilds that there is little interaction.
Server is quiet though, currently the recommended one for new players! I'm also the only OCUK player who seems to have signed in within the last 4 months sadly. I might rediscover some enjoyment if I had people to play with I guess.
This is off topic though, apologies.

As long as they didn't start selling things like the additional AMP points, skill points or skill sets then I could see it working in a F2P environment, especially with all the vanity items that are currently in game such as costumes, mount customization and housing decor items. If they did sell the AMP/Skill points though it would be walking a fine line and creeping into Pay to Win territory.
Currently though I don't mind paying the sub fee though as there's more than enough content to justify it.

Yeah I'm more than happy to pay my sub at the moment.

Regular patches coming through improving things and the monthly content updates make it definitely seem worth it.

If they keep up with releasing a decent amount of content every month as they have said they will then I've got no problem.

But yeah if it does go F2P (don't think it will) then they have plenty of vanity things in the game they can charge for, but I agree I would not like AMP/Ability points available for purchase.

Thinking about it though, they already are available for purchase in a way. You can buy CREDD with £, sell it for in game gold and buy those AMP/Ability points as they are bind on equip drops.

Would be insanely expensive though with how rare they are (selling for 20plat+) and how much plat you get per CREDD (about 7plat on my server).

Ignore him, he doesn't even play the game and is a known troll with the emotional maturity of a tired toddler.

Universities have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunnelling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Sleepery, if I were using that microscope right now... I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your opinions.
