Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Did anyone watch the live stream last night and see the girl KaeyiDream?

Didn't notice anyone in particular but I was only on for a bit.

It was mental there was around 3k people per key. I was up nursing the new born so I was able to log in 3 times for a draw but had no chance of winning a key.

Game looked really good, was really impressed.
 
ahh well, she was a guest on it, she used to be in my WoW guild under the name laenax, she showed me her b00bs once haha, she has like 33k followers on twitter now!

From what i've played all i can say is, im 100% buying, this game is handsdown the best MMO i've played since vannila wow, just hope the end game delivers.

The PvP is really fun also, the starting area drags on a bit but you get a good feel for the game and the storyline.

The humour is great also, i was doing a quest and an NPC walked onto a landmine and he said " Oh, ******** " haha

I think i will be going round the pvp side of the game with a little of pve. the humour is good and i think it really suits the game. I need to get away from wow tbh and i think the new warlords wil be the last one i play. I think i will sink a lot of time into this once the baby is a little older as its due in march hahahah.

I tried out the PvP map, wakatiti temple i think it was called, it was a capture the flag mode and the map was cool, a circular arena with a bridge going through the middle.

the combat was really good, it seems a bit hectic at first because of all the telegraphs but once you get into the thick of it, it becomes great, a lot more fun than say WoWs pvp, Its great because of the skill you have to put in, i remember taking on a stalker, medic and esper i think, and alone i surved for ages just because they kept missing their spells.

I can't wait to see the different armor you can get, i love having a bad ass looking charater.

Ahh kids are great, my son is two now, the first few months they kinda sleep a lot so im sure you'll be able to sink in an hour hear and there :)
 
I am the same, I deffo think this is going to be the game for me! I don’t see why they don’t just bring it out for open beta! he-he I know im inpatient haha

I have a 15month old and she is just starting to sleep a lot more during the night! more pc time
 
Well that is somthing to look forward to, but on the other hand do I want to spoil the game or wait to get that fresh feeling playing it for the first time on release

I've played a spell slinger to level 7, going to do this on the classes im interested in and leave it there, don't want to go any further as i'd like to leave the rest a surprise :)

EDIT: Also, what are your guys view on the limited action set? Having 8 spells out at any one time? For me i think its good, how many spells in wow did you have? Like 60, how many did you actually use? about 6, well for me it was 6 in raids, i never had to change it.

What i like about the LAS is that you have 8 spells, but each can be changed to whatever you like, i think each class has around 30 spells, so for instance your in a raid ecounter, you kill the first boss, next boss you have to change around your spells to a more utility based set or a more damage focused set, it really adds a lot of variety.

I like the sound of it, but you are right regarding WoW and how many spells you actually needed to use...but you stil had them on your toolbar JUST in case

What like the under water breathing spell that warlocks used to have? :P

I know what you mean, but it was very rare that you even used them, like my rotation was: Immolate, conflagrate, chaos bolt, incinerate x2 and repeat and thats all i would press for a few hours, where as with the LAS you have to change it up from fight to fight based on the requirements which i like.
 
Only just started catching up with all the updates on this, this has changed my mind from 'oh just another mmo' to 'actually this looks like a great game'.

Now desperately hoping for a beta invite like the rest of you, just hope this ends up being as good as it sounds!
 
haha yeh i like the idea of having only 8 spells on at one time. its a little like the talent system on wow...swap and change depending on who u fighting in arena lol. There is too many things now for wow like spells and CC.

I was the same when i first seen this and was like meh not another one haha but this is living up to the hype and there is a lot of people giving this game good reviews...i havnt really hear anything bad about the game.

The only downside i've seen people complain about is that its P2P, which in my opinion is better, funding the company to produce more content is only a good thing, i tend to pay more on F2P, so £8.99 a month is nothing really.
