Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Sitting with the new baby asleep in my lap so with nothing better to do spent the last hour watching some Swedish lass called Pocketz stream pvp with medic. Looked really fun and really intense!
 
More importnatly, was she fit? :p

Gah, I hate having to wait for this to be released. I really fancy getting stuck into an mmo as I've never really done so before. I was looking forward to TESO but after the stress test whilst ejoying it, it didn't excite me. Wildstar looks fantastic
 
Found out yesterday that a lot of the old WoW TBC/WotLK devs are working on this, which makes me happy!

So, does anyone who has played this think this game is going to give me as many years of joy as WoW has?
 
It's hard to say.. Since wow was unique in the day and so many played it.. These days they bring out new Mmo, s all the time but a lot are burned out from wow... I doubt any other Mmo will be as successful as wow but so far this is the closest. It's wow 2 basically.. With lots of differences and new lore ect.. But it's very similar.. In a good way.

Talent system is as follows:

My Medic is only level 10 so I'm a noob but will try to explain it as best I can.

Imagine you're level 20 (cap is 50 I think). By this point you will probably have say 15 available spells.
You can only have 8.
Each spell can be upgraded to 8 ranks.
There are fancy bonuses to reaching ranks 4 and 8 for every spell. These aren't just extra damage.

So say at level 20 you can have 10 talent points to spend among your 8 selected spells.

Whenever out of combat you can change which 8 spells you want to have on your UI and alter how you invest your talents into them.
 
The graphics on this game are really great.. I can't imagine myself liking the realistic kind when it comes to mmos and when u max this out its like wow on steroids.. Really great art design.
 
Man i have had no luck with a beta key so far haha. I am not a fan of Life like MMO's they just dont feel as fun, if ya get me.
 
I'll rent my beta account for £10 per hour!

Kidding ofcourse, i've said it numerous times but, this game really is fantastic! We should have an OCuK warplot showdown when we all have it!
 
No beta key here but then again I only just notice this last week so I must be way down the queue for a beta key :(

At this rate I think we'll have to go round to TomProx's house and have a go :p
