I want to know how the hell Hobbycraft is still going. Thought they’d be prime candidates for getting in trouble.

Also, Wilko isn't a high street shop in Stafford. Ours is a bit out of the way, tucked behind a Motability / scooters type store.
You make it sound like it's a comparable job... being a care worker is not remotely easy.Ultimately people are buying the stuff somewhere else.
Plenty of care worker jobs available probably paying the same or more.

Fairly sure that place is pure margin. They'll be buying for pennies and selling for pounds.I want to know how the hell Hobbycraft is still going. Thought they’d be prime candidates for getting in trouble.
they will be next! Along with pets at homeI want to know how the hell Hobbycraft is still going. Thought they’d be prime candidates for getting in trouble.
The owners don't give a ****
They got theirs:
Wilko owners took £3m in dividends despite £37m losses
Retailer understood to be seeking £30m emergency funding amid falling saleswww.theguardian.com
Pets at home are actually doing well and clearing profits of nearly £150m a year. COVID was probably good for them with the huge increase of pet owners.they will be next! Along with pets at home
There were often lengthy queues outside my local one during Covid.Pets at home are actually doing well and clearing profits of nearly £150m a year. COVID was probably good for them with the huge increase of pet owners.
Do you want immigrants to do it and ex Wilko employees on benefits?Agreed!
Would you rather stand in a shop stacking shelves/sitting on a till
or
Would you rather deal with mainly very elderly people who likely are hard of hearing or have dementia, and you need to bath them, wipe their arse etc?
I think being able to occasionally browse pets at home is one of the few things keeping tenants from staging a revolution over pet ownership.Pets at home are actually doing well and clearing profits of nearly £150m a year. COVID was probably good for them with the huge increase of pet owners.
Many more businesses will go bump in the next 12 months I reckon
The company I work for used to sub out to 2 big construction firms that have recently gone bump owing over 100 million to subbies and suppliers
It's only going get worse
Like the scumbags that ripped off the UK energy sector. Given a dressing down in court, but get to keep their dirty millions. The directors can be held personally liable if that's found to be illegal.
Bonuses should be earned. Your company’s worst year ever - close x shops, y staff lose their jobs and worst profit. Yet the CEO and other big wigs get bonuses.
